In life what people say to you about anything says more about them than it does about anything or anybody else.

Projecting self guilt

So, if right out of the blue, your partner suddenly asks you if you have met somebody else, and you know you have given them no cause to suspect such a thing, then effectively your partner is actually making a confession. What they are doing is projecting on to you the very thing that they are guilty of.

What the guilty party is hoping is that you are not smart enough to see that confession for what it is and that you will unsuspectingly fess up first. And the reason they do that is so that they can say you did it first and all they did was react by doing the same. By the same token, if your partner asks you if you suspect them of having an affair, that is a sure sign something is going on.

Getting you out of the house

Another tell tale sign that your partner is cheating is when they encourage you to go out for the night with that best friend of yours that they normally complain about you spending any time with. They hope that you will take the bait, loving the opportunity to be with your mate with your partner’s blessing, leaving them free to be with a lover and knowing exactly where you are for safety’s sake.

Asking for an open relationship

Yet another sign that all is not well is when your partner suggests that you both have an open relationship. What this means is that they have already embarked upon an affair and now want to legitimise it. Again, what they hope for is that you will seize the opportunity to have some extra curricula fun allowing them to continue with theirs.

Showing they have something to hide

If one day your partner asks you out of the blue yonder if you are checking up on them by, for example bugging the telephone, then that is their guilt getting the better of them and shows that they have something to hide, and it’s all going down on the phone. So it might be an idea to get bugging. Worst ways up, if you are wrong all you will hear is a social chit chat about the price of sausages, no harm done.

Making secret mobile phone calls

If your partner walks away to one side to take a call on their cellphone, and this is not their normal behaviour, it means they have got something to hide. The phone, fixed or mobile, is the channel usually used for conducting an affair.

A private detective once told me that if you think your partner is cheating, and you are not a suspecting person by nature, then they probably have got something going on behind your back. So it might be an idea to pay some extra attention to your partner's behaviour and changing of any habits they have.

Taking extra care of themselves

If your partner seems to be taking a little bit of extra care about themselves before they go out to see a friend, like taking a shower, waxing their legs or putting on a sexy new outfit, these are not good signs.

Mysterious incoming calls at night

Sometimes the signs come from other quarters. The telephone rings at night and all of a sudden it seems that every time you pick up the phone the caller cuts the call. Only two types of people do this, crooks and lovers wanting to see if you are at home. And if it never happens to your partner, then for sure it’s a lover. You have been warned. If it walks like a duck, if it quacks like a duck, if it looks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
