Jamie-Rose enjoyed sitting in the cafe on the Main Street in town. She could watch the people go past, going about their daily lives. She had an open book in front of her to write notes in it. She was sipping on her coffee and listening in to some of the conversations of those around her. She was trying not to be obvious about listening in.

Jamie-Rose occasionally wrote notes of story ideas from some of the conversations she was hearing. The waitress came to take a plate away and see if Jamie-Rose wanted anything else. Jamie-Rose got another coffee. As the waitress walked away, Jamie-Rose went back to listening to those around her and continued to jot down parts of conversations and story ideas.

Jamie-Rose’s phone was on the table in front of her. It buzzed to indicated that she had received a text message. It was from her book editor Madison. Madison wanted Jamie-Rose to check her emails. Something to do with writing a new book and contract terms. As Jamie-Louise was opening up her email, the waitress brought over her flat white.

Jamie-Rose thanked the waitress and went back to looking at her email. There was an email from Madison. It was going over needing another book idea. There would be $20,000 up front if she came up with something by the end of the month. Which wasn’t far away.

Jamie-Rose had enough ideas from listening to people to do anthology of short stories. Jamie-Rose emailed back, while sipping her flat white, saying that she had enough ideas to do anthology of short stories. She just needed to type them up and refine them a bit.

After Jamie-Rose finished her flat white, she closed her small note book. The notebook had a black cover on it. Story ideas was written on the cover in white. Jamie-Rose went to the counter to pay before leaving the cafe.

She walked to her unit not far from the centre of town where she was. By the time she had entered her unit, her editor Madison had emailed back saying that she was excited to see what Jamie-Rose had written when it was done.

Jamie-Rose interacted with her cat after enter her unit. Her cat was a gorgeous tabby. The tabby was running around Jamie-Rose’s feet before allowing to be picked up. Jamie-Rose went to the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea, having put her tabby car back on the ground before making the tea. She put her bag done after getting her black notebook out. After she had made her tea, Jamie-Rose went to her office, with her tabby cat following.

Jamie-Rose sat down at her computer and her tabby cat rested in its bed next to Jamie-Rose’s feet. She opened her black notebook and put it on the desk beside her computer. She opened a document on her computer and looked at the first lot of notes she had written before starting to type on her computer.

About a week or two later, Jamie-Rose had sent in a draft of a few of the short stories to go into the anthology of short stories. Jamie-Rose was at a cafe drink a coffee and making notes when her phone buzzed. It was her editor Madison. Madison was loving the stories that were submitted. She wanted some more short stories to add to the anthology and she, Madison, would fix up some minor errors in the stories that were already submitted. Paperwork would emailed to Jamie-Rose to sign in regards to the book and the $20,000 advance on e book.

Jamie-Rose said she would get to the paper work when she got home and would continue doing some stories. After she finished her coffee and paid, she walked around the shopping centre nearby to see if she could find any inspiration for some stories but couldn’t find any.

Jamie-Rose went home for a while before deciding to get ready to go out for a some drinks at bar. She took her black notebook with her and a pen. She found a bar and got herself a drink and watched some of the people around., making some notes occasionally. One of the bar tenders asked if she was a reporter.

Jamie-Rose said she wasn’t but a writer and explained that she was just looking for some inspiration for stories by just observing people and the environment their in. The bartender let her be and continued on doing his job.

After a couple of days of gong to a couple of bars and pubs and various other places that could be of use, Jamie-Rose felt she had enough inspiration for more stories. She had signed the papers that her editor Madison had mentioned a couple of days prior.

After a few weeks, Jamie-Rose had finished the of her stories and attached them to an email to send to Madison. Madison said that the $20,000 advancement would be transferred soon to Jamie-Rose’s account and the last of the stories would be edited. Once the stories were all edited, Jamie-Rose could chose what order the stories went in.

Jamie-Rose closed her black notebook and put in on the shelf with other notebooks in her office and left the room.
