The 2021 warmer seasons are coming, and gay bears are ready to take off their shirts, proudly showing those hairy chests under the sun after this long and stressful winter we’re in. To get ready for the parties, I made a list of the best gay bear places that will be opening in the summer. Of course, the question is: will it be possible to enjoy summer at a pool party with no social distancing and masks?

Many gay bear campings, bars, and parties worldwide were canceled their events in 2020 for the pandemic. The ones that decided to open did it with several sanitary restrictions and received a reduced amount of people. The Gay Bear Fairy, hopefully with their magic carrot, will help us for a great season.

Woods Campground

It's a traditional point for folks from Philadelphia and New York City. It’s located two hours driving from Philly, in Leigh High Valley, Pennsylvania.

I’ve been there twice, before the pandemic. It’s basically a crowd of gay men naked or in speedo enjoying the sun and the pool. It's a very positive atmosphere with all types of bodies exposed with no shame or judgment. You can relax in the pool or in a jacuzzi, have a drink, and hanging with the guys.

Day Pass

Those who want to spend some days there in their own tent or trailer, or renting the cabins available, should hurry because the spots don’t last too long as it the destiny of lots of gay men in the Summer. The online reservations are opening Saturday (03/06), Est. Time. 12 pm. thewoodscampground.com

Bear Week Provincetown 2021

The Bear Week of Provincetown, Massachuttes will host 9 days and nights of pool parties, beach outings, dance parties, and leather events. It’ll happen from Saturday, Jul 10th, till Sunday, Jul 18th, 2021.

This is a description posted on the event’s website, “Traditional highlights of Provincetown in summer include the daily T-Dance, and Nightly 1 Am Pizza, and cruising at Spiritus. The hotels, pools, and clubs are mostly within a short walk, and Commercial Street becomes one of our primary venues as a place to see and meet friends.”

It sounds perfect. Get more information here.

Provincetown Carnival Week

Provincetown Carnival 2021

Still in Provincetown, Massachusetts, which is considered the Gay Bear City in the USA, will have a Carnival in August of 2021. It was a happy surprise for me since I’m from Brazil, the land of Carnaval. The pandemic made Brazil’s cities cancel the Carnaval this year, scheduled for February, so a Carnaval in August could be awesome!

“The festival has become a multi-day themed extravaganza, including a parade that attracts over 80 entries annually. The event is a cross between a Pride parade, Mardi Gras, and a Halloween parade.” Event’s website.

Key West Bear Weekend 2021

The first event in Key West Bear Weekend is a happy hour on Friday, the Meet and Greet Happy Hour. If Happy Hour reminds you of some boring event work-related, you may change your mind after reading this:

“Don’t miss the Bubble Bear Foam Party at the world-famous Bourbon Street Pub at 724 Duval Street. Go-Go Bears. live DJs, a pool, and a hot tub filled with hot bubbly bears make for one of Key West Bear Weekend’s hottest events!”

Key West is a peninsula in the very south of Florida for those who don’t know it. Some describe the place as a Paradise. The Bear Weekend will take place in November, from 3th to 7th. Bear Weekend Oficial’s Website

Ok, guys, I hope it helps put more fun in your Summer. Please, leave your comments! Important: We’re in a Pandemic. For these events or anything else, please follow the restrictions required by CDC.

See you,
