A BLACK Face In Need of a WHITE Coat
It’s the time of year again that strikes a nerve & grinds the gears of every racist throughout the nation. It’s BLACK History month. It’s the month that black Americans are reminded of every Jim Crow law, the unjust theft of every birthright we had, every life lost, & every punishment during slavery; but we’re also reminded of the strength & resilience of our black ancestors.

Mansfield Park. If you don't recognize the name, that's totally normal. Unfortunately Mansfield Park is a title that often takes back seat to Jane Austen's other novels, like Pride & Prejudice or Sense & Sensibility. But why isn't a more notable Austen novel? Why is it considered Austen's worst novel?

I don't think you will find anyone more excited about the New Year than I am. My goodness... 2021 has been one heck of a ride. I can say that about the previous years but this one had a different tone. One of insanity. Moments that I truly could not have made up if I had tried.
Crystal RaePublished 2 years ago in HumansEvents that shaped 2021
When we all look back at the year that was 2021, we will all have our own reflections of the highs and lows. For some, this year was as tumultuous as the last in 2020. For others, this was a year of opportunity. For all however, it was a year that brought definite uncertainty for the near future. With this said, I want to take the time to look back at pivotal moments across the globe both domestically and internationally, that highlight those reasons of uncertainty. Global instability was and still is a reoccurring theme across pockets of global society. From the pandemic, to proxy wars, 2021 left us a novel that has yet to be finished. Let us start from the beginning and work our way to a culmination that assures us theoretical fireworks.

Food is a vital substance that supports our lives. Our cells use it to function properly. We consume food for energy, fuel, and nutrition. The main sources of food are animal sources, as well as plant-based products such as grains, fruit, and vegetables. A wide range of different foods is available and can be purchased at a grocery store or online. You can find a wide variety of information on these substances at NIIR's website.
FernandoLeePublished 2 years ago in HumansBrutus' Misconceived Fall From Grace (Revised)
Throughout Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, series of various circumstances are often misinterpreted for the worse and illustrate the blatant ineptitude of characters, resulting in the eventual downfall of many cast members across the board. Senator Cicero’s words on how “men may construe things after their fashion, clean from the purpose of the things themselves” speaks volumes on this matter, accurately describing how people often misconstrue and take great advantage of these opportunities with their benefit in mind and without the proper wherewithal to think beyond face value (1.3.33-36). The sheer inability of characters to grasp the bigger picture is what leads to their demise, highlighting how ill fit the ruling class is to properly officiate Rome. This especially holds true when analyzing the events involving Brutus being manipulated by the instance of Caesar falling in public’s eye as a sign for Rome beginning to crumble under his tyrannical rule, the forged letters to engage in the collective murder plot, and the obsequious cheering of plebeians.
Goodbye to 2021
As we begin to wind down for the festive season, to spend time with our loved ones and bid farewell to 2021, it's time to look back and reflect.

Tori ArtemisPublished 2 years ago in HumansNo Way I Have to Respect Your Choice
The drastically overused concept of “Political Correctness”, as an empowering and self-enabling justification for truly bad choices, is a moral cop-out. It has become the “soupe de jour” for uneducated individuals who believe that any of their selfish, effortless personal choices and resultant actions are always defensible, simply because they are humans and they have the “right to choose”. Some small-minded types may imagine, in their wildest fantasies, that all of mankind is required to accept and / or respect any choice made by them, no matter how ludicrous and harmful the results may be. They feel that the political correctness we so boldly brandish in today’s civilized world, offers suitable protection from ridicule and evaluation of the ignorant and hurtful things they do and say. One drawback is that these same self-righteous souls are seldom on board with accepting the consequences of their choices. For example, If I am expected to accept and respect a person’s right to choose NOT to be vaccinated against the Covid virus, and any of its variants, that person must also accept and respect my decision NOT to allow him into my place of business or my home. Sometimes, I think it would be easier if I just refused to accept / respect that person’s choice in the first place, then there would be no nasty surprises for anyone regarding the acts that follow.

With 2021 coming to a close, I thought it would be fun to create a Baker’s Dozen of the podcasts I found and listened to this year! Though I listened to more than just true crime, unexplained mysteries, and creepy tales of cryptids, I largely listened to these things, so the list is dominated by podcasts that cover these topics with little deviation. That said, let me introduce you to the 13 podcasts that defined my 2021!
