Minor Gods
Minor Gods There was no time for basking in it. Perks Cafe couldn’t endure Ken Stagman for long before oscillating into hysteria. And he knew it. They knew it too. A single iphone camera’s shutter flash would dash the collective hope that the moment would survive to blossom to its fullest flower. So far, the general restraint had been maintained. The tension, however, was becoming palpable, and emotions were stretching thin. Then, as if divining Mary Murphy’s thoughts while she fumbled in her purse, Ken Stagman cleared his throat, slid the ostensible script into a beautiful leather saddlebag, stood, and crossed the peuter floor. At once, they began following him, no longer with their eyes alone, but with necks craned in awkward bend, and with faces bespectacled with glinting smartphone eyes. As he left, the bells on the door tinkled as they would have for anyone. Those bells, cheap tin bells on a faux-leather strap, bells no one on Earth apart from Beau, the barista, would have given a second thought, now meant one thing only: Stagman.

Taurus
Wyatt sat down on the park bench like he did two years ago to the day. He vowed he would return here, though he was happy it only took him two years. That day was much this October day, trees changing colour the sounds of the busy city around him. His mind drifted back to that day.

Just Luck
Just luck ! Yes it was just luck after all ! Jack was an old bushy, a lean and healthy septuagenarian set in his way and very reluctant to accept change as the outside world evolved around him and lived a humble life as a widower in his retirement, isolating himself from outside influence where possible. He only went into the city which was about 60 kilometers from his home when he could find no other way of transacting business, or seeking medical care ! He used his computer and even with minimal instruction was sufficiently smart enough to do his banking and much of his shopping on line, collecting items purchased from the post office sub branch nearby!

Clouds in the Head
Being dejected on a sunny day, the clouds don't disappear, you carry them over your head. He's gone, really gone, and while I'm falling apart, the world hasn't even blinked. That's the sad truth, when you're gone, nobody stops in silence, they keep living, because to everyone else nothing really happened.

Finding Sky
The shrill sound of the alarm shattered the silence and jolted Michael awake. Slamming his hand on the clock, he groaned and rolled over, throwing his arm over his head. He squeezed his eyes shut and tried to remember the details from his dream, but it was no use, like trying to hold water in his hands. He’d been having the same dream for years, but whenever he woke up, the only thing he could remember was the woman’s face smiling down on him. She was beauty incarnate, Aphrodite herself. That was the one detail he could always hold onto. He had never seen her equal. Her heart shaped face was framed by auburn hair that cascaded in soft waves down her back. It was a sharp contrast to her alabaster skin that looked as though she were made of porcelain. Her eyes were the oddest shade of blue, light like the sky. He had began referring to her as “Sky” to himself whenever he thought about her, which lately was more and more often.

Carmen
I have this strange feeling that something wonderful is about to happen. Now, hear me out—you don't know me, and you don't know where I come from. If I passed you on the street, you wouldn't have the slightest clue of who I was, the writer delighting you in the story of my life.
