It is possible that at some point you have heard that simplicity, and everything related to simplicity, has great value, even above complexity.

It is the simple architectural structures that ultimately outweigh the complex ones. They are the simple products, the ones that sell more. They are the simple solutions, the ones that companies finally end up acquiring.

But nevertheless, many argue that simplicity is a subjective term, that it will depend on each person and each way of seeing the world, and therefore simplicity itself does not make much sense.

To those people, I say that if well, there may not be an absolute simplicity, of course there may be a relative simplicity. That is to say, although we could not establish in concrete terms what would be the simplest thing in the world or in the universe, we could do it with a limited number of options or alternatives.

Another interesting question to analyze here is the fact that there is no single path to simplicity, there are perhaps as many paths to the simple life as there are people who are looking for it right now.

My definition of a simple life may not be the same as yours, so I should not recommend you to do such or such things to reach it, more however if I can give you some guidelines so that you can reach it yourself better way.

I think it goes without saying that a simple life brings with it lots of advantages, among which we could briefly mention:

  • Absence of depression and stress
  • Tranquillity
  • Clarity in goals and achievements
  • Harmony with the environment
  • Awareness
  • life with purpose

Enough arguments to want to live a simple life, don't you think?

What is a Simple Life?

As I mentioned before, there may not be a single definition. Someone could say that living simply is having a cabin in the mountains, without electricity, and only one book at a time, where during the day you collect fruits to eat and perhaps have a farm, and at night you simply sleep due to lack of light. . You could eventually go into town to get on the internet and do a couple of things you can't in your cabin, but no more than that.

For me, that is not a simple life, although for many it would be the most ideal.

Another example of simplicity is a several hundred thousand dollar mansion that is designed based on minimalism. Although it is a good form of simplicity, it is not the best for everyone, many people simply would not want to invest so much in their own home.

The most basic idea about simplicity, then, is to conserve priority spaces for the most essential. Not necessarily physical spaces. Rather things like the following:

  • Those activities that I love to do
  • People I like to be with
  • Objects that are essential for me

And so, to simplify your life, what you have to do is remove what is not essential, little by little. Just as Steve Jobs did with his iPhone, by leaving a single key on the cell phone. When at the time phones like the BlackBerry had more than 30.

The result? That people love simplicity, that BlackBerry is plummeting and that the iPhone is increasingly outselling and outperforming its competitors. After this of course, copies like those of samsung, motorola... etc. emerged.

The path you take then to simplicity will fill your life with value. It will make you rich and abundant, it will make you someone who lives each moment intensely and who appreciates what he has, as well as being passionate about what he does and therefore happy.
