Once upon a time, there was a big dog named Max. Max was a handsome, brown and black German Shepherd who lived in a mansion surrounded by miles of lush green lawns. He was the master's dog, and even though he had no sense of loyalty or obedience, he enjoyed the privileges that came with his position.

One day, Max heard a noise coming from the yard. It was a strange noise, and he was curious enough to investigate. When he reached the fence, he saw a small, brown and white dog running towards him. The dog looked lost, and Max felt a sense of compassion in his heart. He wagged his tail and licked the little dog's nose, trying to communicate that he was friendly.

The little dog seemed to understand Max's gesture, and she nuzzled her muzzle against him.

Max watched as the little dog ran back and forth, trying to find a way to escape the fence. She was always on the lookout for a chance to follow her instincts and show her bravery. She reminded Max of himself before he became a dog named Max.

One day, the little dog came back with a piece of paper in her mouth. She dropped it at Max's feet, and he could see that it was a note. The dog looked up at Max with big, watery brown eyes. She tilted her head and gave a little bark.

Max picked up the note, unfolded it, and began to read it. It was from the lost little girl who lived in the mansion. The girl had written a plea for help, and she asked Max to deliver it.

Max felt a tug at his heartstrings as he read the note. He had always been a loyal dog, but he also knew that his position as the mansion's protector came with responsibilities. He couldn't just leave a lost little girl to fend for herself.

Max ran back to the fence and barked at the little dog to come with him. She didn't need much convincing, and they set off on their journey to the mansion.

When they arrived, the little girl was standing at the entrance, looking frightened. She had been waiting for them, and she ran towards them, hugging Max tightly.

Max was a little surprised by how small the little girl was, but he still gave her a gentle nuzzle. The little dog sat next to them, watching them with big, curious eyes.

The little girl introduced herself as Lily and thanked Max and the little dog. She told them that she had been playing in her room, and she had accidentally forgotten her key. She had tried to find it everywhere, but she couldn't find it anywhere.

Max felt a pang of guilt in his heart as he realized that he had left his key in his collar. He had been negligent, and he had let his privileges get the better of him.

Lily explained that she had found the note that the little dog had dropped, and she had followed the instructions to the letter. She had run around the fence for hours, and she had finally discovered a narrow hole in the fence. She had crawled through it, and she had finally found herself outside of the mansion's grounds.

Max felt a sense of relief in his heart as he realized that Lily was safe. He had failed in his duty, but he had also given his friend a chance to perform an important task.

Max and Lily continued their journey back to the mansion, and when they arrived, Max didn't leave Lily's side. He helped her escape from her prison, and Lily thanked him over and over again.

From that day on, Max was known as a hero to the little girl and the dog. They respected him more because of his flaws, and they saw him as someone who had the potential to change. Max appreciated the appreciation, and he knew that the friendship that he had with the little dog had saved his life.

The moral of the story is that it is important to recognize our privileges and also our responsibilities. We must always perform our duties with utmost care and compassion. Max had learned this lesson the hard way, but he had also taught Lily and the dog a valuable lesson.
