The ODM Party top leadership has moved into forestall an imminent Fallout in the ongoing succession battle to succeed party leader Raila Odinga.ODM chairman John Mbandi who says he has consulted with odinga,who is currently outside the country.

Raila has called for restraint from the party's Deputy leaders Wickliff Oparanya and Hassan Joho to avoid causing panic among party supporters.

The Orange Party may reschedule its grassroot election scheduled for April after a week of intense campaigns in the emergence of factional rivalry to succeed party leader Raila Odinga.

Top leadership of ODM has now moved in,to bring order in the orange Party by telling the party's two deputies Hassan Joho and Wickliff Oparanya to exercise restraint in their campaigns.

"I fear that the actions of the last few days are not in the best interest of the party and of those of the party leader who is keen on an orderly inclusive and impactful agenda for the party,in the meantime I would want to call upon the two Deputy Party leaders Ali Hassan Joho and Wickliff Ambeta Oparanya both tested and tried leaders in their own right to provide leadership at this critical moment as we await guidance for the next step."ODM Chairman John Bandi said.

He added had the blessings of odinga who is out of the country to campaign for the African Union Commission chairmanship.Odinga will contest for the presidency in 2027 which is why Joho and Oparanya should hold their horses to support the party leader who is still going to be in the ballot in 2027.

This is the position of ODM,we are talking about party leader taking another assignment if he does take the assignment,he is going to leave the party to be managed in his absance.He spoke a day after one of the party's die hard members MP Anadas Babo and MP Caleb Hamisi joined forces with to form a new political outfit.

Kenyans,this is a new team the young blood,the fresh breath that is going to breathe into the dry bones of the problems facing Kenyans.

The battle to succeed Odinga in case he clinches the AU seat raised the stakes in the orange party after a section of the National Assembly has already indicated to us the person he would like to take over the party.

Former Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has intestified lobbing for his bid after hosting a section of politicians from the coast among them ODM member Hassan Omar among other stakeholder.

ODM chairman John Mbandi said hes has consulted widely with Hon.Raila Odinga who is currently outside the country lobbing bid to be elected as the incomming AU Chairman.

Raila Odinga had called for restraint from the partys Deputy leaders,Wycliff Ombeta Oparanya and Hassan Ali Joho,to avoid causing anxiety among party supporters over succession.

Mbandi said he feared the utterances of the last days are not for the intrests of the ODM party but are made to destruct and bring confussion among party members who have supported and been loyal to the orange party for long time.
