Neo Responds After Being Bashed for Terrible Acting (Video)

Big Brother Naija housemates generally have a harder time than other celebrities being taken seriously in the entertainment industry, and this becomes most apparent when they put out work for public consumption. For housemates, the work has to be really good, otherwise they run the risk of being clowned by people online. The latter is what former Big Brother housemate Neo Akpofure is experiencing now online after a viral clip started circulating showcasing a scene from a movie he did with Ini Edo where she is meant to be getting seduced by him when he is talking.

You can scroll down to see the video. After the video was posted and Neo started getting bashed for it, he was quiet for some time. But now, the Big Brother alumnus and actor is talking about his feelings towards being bashed. Here is what Neo Akpofure had to say.

NEO'S RESPONSE

The video that people bashed Neo for was posted with a caption by a user named Royz who said about the video: "This is terrible acting bro, Nigerian actors no sabi shit." Other commenters agreed with the poster saying "Walahi 😂😂😂 d acting no gel at all e come be like those stage drama for school", and another said "The guy just dey force steeze."

Responding to all the negative comments about his acting, Neo Akpofure took to his social media to first post on his story saying:

NEO AKPOFURE: Naija tried to take away my happiness but God said NEVER!!!

Then, Neo addressed the insults directly by saying:

NEO AKPOFURE: Talk down on me and my craft all you want, I’m getting better at all I do by the day and your validations mean nothing to me.
