Marriage from a First Date

Marriage can happen from a first date—at least I believe so and I hope you do as well. It seems like a fairy tale that a first date can lead to marriage, but why not?

In a world where we live and breathe technology, here are a few ideas to get you started. Everything is at our fingertips. Why can’t marriage be at our “fingertips” as well?

You’re probably thinking, “the only first date that will lead to marriage has to be a mail order bride or groom for that matter.”

Equal opportunity. Even though this can be true, chemistry also plays a big roll in dating as well. You may not get that fuzzy feeling with every person you go out with. It’s not supposed to be that way or everyone would be married multiple times.

Chemistry, or feeling that two people “click,” is just something you feel.

It’s an emotional bond that goes way beyond sexual attraction.

Now I’m not saying that it can’t first start with looks then sexual attraction, that happens all the time. But the chemistry between two people IS that warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you think of that person and how you can’t wait to be with them again.

Or, it’s that warm and fuzzy feeling that you just got when you met on the first date.

That feeling that you just want the date to keep going and never end. Endless conversations about anything and everything. Next thing you know, you find yourself in love. Then, a thought of wedding bliss fills your being with unexplainable joy.

What rule says that two people can’t fall in love and get married all on a first date?

Is it just embedded in our minds from a society that we can’t possibly feel that way on a first date and shouldn’t trust our feelings?

I say go for it! Just think of what you may be missing out on if you don’t trust your gut instinct and lose the one person that you have been searching for all your life by turning the matrimony offer down.

So if you are also thinking, after texting or talking on the phone from a dating app, that this person may be “the one,” how do I make a great first impression?

Looking your best to impress the same or opposite sex is the first and best step to impress that special someone.

First, determine what venue your date will be held at then brainstorm ideas of what to wear to not only fit the venue but also something you know you look good in and brings out your inner confidence.

Above all, pick out an outfit that is comfortable for you to wear. There’s nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable on a first date.

That may seem like a “no brainer” but let’s face it, there is a link between a smell and a memory.

What better way to leave an impression on your soon-to-be love than to put on a scent that not only you love and makes you feel sexy, but will also have him or her always thinking of you and your first date long after you are married every time they smell that same scent.

Yes, bring back chivalry, especially if you are a man wanting to impress your future love and wife.

Pay for that meal, appetizer, and drink of her choice and don’t be stingy. You don’t have to go overboard but show that you can step up to the “plate” and take care of it and her.

Women, if you want to impress future Mr. Right, compliment him.

Flatter him by saying how nice he looks or how he smells.

This will show him you have taken notice in his efforts and respect it.

Listen to what he has to say about his life, hobbies, interests. Repeat them back, giving him a common thread of what his likes are to your likes.

Tip 5 – THE KISS

If you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that this is “the one” then, by all means, plant a big hot sexy kiss on your future mate.

Don’t be shy! That feeling inside you needs to come alive and what better way to express how you feel after that first date.

I hope I gave you some simple yet effective ideas to help you on your first date that could lead to a marriage of your dreams.

If you have found that special someone already or just going out on that first date and feel they are that special someone, congratulations! I wish you all the best in the world.

If you haven't yet, don't worry! You will.
