NECESSARY ENGAGEMENT

Born Malcolm Little, in 1966 a racially disturbing time in history, a child of Afro-Black American distinction, was to become a man of considerable conviction and knowledge. A flat-out messenger sent to open eyes shut by injustices and fear. The vision he professed and the legacy he was destined to leave would be considerably impactful. A man placed in a desirable position, but only to the chosen. A lot of men would not have accepted the grave responsibility and role this man played in civil rights. This era of humanity was cruel and from my perspective, out of order. The introduction of Malcolm X, and the movement he carried, not only was impactful but necessary. I can not personally imagine being in the same place, or time of such reverence. The whole idea of what was endured, set forth, and accomplished is mind-blowing stuff. Not only is this man my hero, But also a blaze of fire and motivation! For me, His story is not only of proactivity & Black self-love and respect but of encouragement and self-will. Line up 10 great men today of Integrity and anointing, I doubt they measure up to the X.

Heroism is what I believe, A gift from above. Symbolic of what to aspire to become. Now I'm not saying his religious beliefs were or were not a valuable connection, But they for certain took nothing from this man's character and leadership. Speaking of leader's Malcolm X showed the ability to voice his grievances and demands like no other. Those who followed his directions more than likely had content results. People who have studied the life of Malcolm X can agree to having a mentor of such stature would be honorable in itself.

The truth of the matter is I've held his contribution to humanity and American History in high regard. What he left to the world and to my imagination is priceless! Because of him, I can express my identity. I can voice my opinions in stand firm in what I believe. An important figure from, the really not so distant past. If social injustice and discrimination put's a man in a compromising spot. It must have had a special position in mind for this gentleman. In no way do I associate anything gentle with the X, just the thought of the man in his widow with an assault rifle says it all. To protect his family, by all means, is what all men should do. Right? A responsible action should warrant responsible re-actions. Of all he had to encounter, protecting his home, his wife and children was frontline reasoning. Where are the fathers today in 2022, who stand on Malcolm X's principles, concerning family?

I give this iconic and prolific American, of African descent his constantly due gratitude and appreciation. We should always give thanks, and honor the ones who lived and died for a cause. A person who gave so much of themselves, not even evil intentions could erase his contributions. To my Hero, I Say thanks for the love. Thanks for believing in something so much. The freedom of thought and expression I hold true is in part because of the stance you took. The demise of my Hero only skyrocketed the mission. To never accept lesser than, strive to be great, and love the skin I'm in. Nothing or no one can shatter the impression that was left behind. A legacy to be never forgotten is what ultimately came from the hate that took such an individual. We came to see the birth of a great story, of a great man I consider, my HERO.
