Love

Sometimes we never really know how things will go but trust our intuition because those are our living definitions.

Pressure is rising. Clouded skies mixing in with the teardrops from the heavens got me pondering on if this date will go smooth or if it will end in one last phone call and another fallen tear. Time is winding down as I put my tie through the last loop looking in the mirror at someone who is nervous but ecstatic at the same time. Mmmmmm, mmmmmm, mmmmmm, the phone began to vibrate with a red heart and sunshine emoji. “Hello,” Michelle says, “I was checking in and calling to let you know that I am on my way. I can not wait to see you.” As she is talking the nerves in my body begin to decrease and I start to feel more at ease. I inform her that I can not wait to see her as well and that I am headed out the door right after I put my shoes on.

Driving to Fujiyamas for hibachi, my heart begins to feel as if it is thumping out of my body. Second thinking about if I am worth it and will she actually be interested in me. Approaching my destination I began to feel that it is too late to back out now. Sweat consuming the empty space on my head between my hair and eyebrows. Holding my head down for a quick prayer of direction for this event. “Lord, I tend to freeze up when I get lost in my head. I can not explain why but I can say that I am having mixed emotions about this. Guide me through this and make it what it should be.” Feeling relieved a bit, I proceed to exit the vehicle and decrease the space between my top button and tie as I am walking up towards the door. Once I swung the door open and walk inside, her presence was the first thing that captured my attention.

My first thoughts are, “wow, she’s really my date for tonight. I am luckier than I thought.” Her ocean eyes are something you can get lost in when you just sit and admire her beauty. Before I sit down, I open my arms and embrace her with a hug like it was the only thing that will save me from dying. Her perfume bombards my nose and knocks me into a trans that can make a man submit to her any and every need at the drop of a dime. As we let go of each other I help her to her seat and sit down myself. Hard to form words, in the beginning, all I could do was just smile. Not smiling because of the date itself, but because I was the lucky man she decided she wanted to go on the date with. Looking at the menu I knew what I wanted to order right away. We discussed our meal options and waited for the chef to come and cook our food in front of us. Once the chef arrives, he is creating many tricks with the food as he prepares it. Building onion volcanos, tossing chicken bites into mouths, creating a water fountain with his squirt bottle, etc. I can tell that I was not only having a good time, but she was as well.

After our delicious dinner, we eventually moved our date towards the bar and sat and talked for at least three hours with no interruptions. Falling on the topic of wine, I ask the bartender for his finest bottle of wine he has. Looking at his body language, he seemed hesitant on his decision but eventually played on his thought and went to the back to grab the bottle. Reapproaching us, he grabbed his bar towel and wiped off the sweaton the bottle, and proceeded to sit in front of Michelle and me. Noticing the name I was surprised that he had a bottle of Obscura, a merlot that is quite rare and very delicious. As we pour a glass of merlot for each of us, we continue to proceed in the conversation for the rest of the night until closing.

Sadly, it has now come for us to part ways and say our goodbyes. “I had an amazing time, and you made me feel a type of energy I have not felt in a long time, Chris. Thank you for that.” After her statement, she kisses me on the cheek and I walk her to her vehicle and open her door. Stretching her leg to get in the vehicle, I open up and tell her “I was nervous in the beginning but you make me feel as if we had chemistry before this. You make it comfortable for me to be around you.” She smiles and closes her door to begin her journey back to her kingdom. Watching her pull off I begin walking to my car to head to my rightful throne as well. Dark housing with a banana in the sky dropping the last few tears the clouds had to offer, I attempt to unlock my car door. That’s when I felt a presence. The presence behind me had forceful energy that can break through walls if it had the ability. Turning around, it was a tall fair skin male who was dressed in what looks to be a tuxedo. Staring at each other for some time, he opens up and says, “Love stands for Loss Of Valuable Emotions. You can give your heart thinking everything is okay but really it wasn’t. Understand that even though you may have feelings for her, ten more men are willing to kill for just that one glass of merlot you shared with her. Do not ruin a chance you may never get again.” As he spoke, it felt as if something entered my body and froze everything. I could not move a single muscle. Even though he left, I had so many questions. So many questions that needed answers. Throughout all of this, I knew he was speaking of… Mmmmmm, mmmmmm, mmmmmm… Michelle.
