It starts with your eyes catching theirs, a welcoming smile then an amazing, unforgettable conversation. You exchange numbers, you're smiling uncontrollably and the feeling of butterflies in your stomach is overwhelming. Walking away the smile is still on your face, you feel at this moment you just had the best day of your life, an possibly met the one. Not just another human, but that quickly possibly met the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. And his name is Eric.

During the beginning, nothing seems like it's going too fast, your not rushing anything because after all you've been through so much, you could tell by now if Eric was going to drop the ball, right? You replay the moment you met over and over in your head, remembering the way he smiled, held eye contact and loved everything you did. You smile at how he knew exactly what to say, and how he made you feel. You felt warm, silly and young again. Without a doubt you can't wait to see him again.

You send him a text, not trying to show how into him you are, but playing it cool. You wait, staring at your screen waiting for a reply. He must have seen your message by now. He probably has been waiting to talk to you again as much as you've been wanting to talk to him. You felt the energy between you too, no way you can be imaging it.

Besides, it was only just today you met, he should be expecting a text message from you. You put your phone down, scolding yourself for being too desperate, this is no big thing, you just met, it's whatever. But, at the back of your mind you're still waiting for your phone to go off, you feel like you're connected to the little device, at this moment your phone is your life line. You check your phone again, maybe you missed it, nope, still no message. Your heart sinks, maybe he wasn't that all into you like you thought.

At home you're doing anything you can to distract yourself, watching tv, playing games, talking to your friends about the amazing stranger you met today. Then suddenly your phone goes off, you check with your heart in your chest, it has to be him. It is. Hey what's up?

Um, what's up? Not much just waiting for you reply back all day. Like who seriously doesn't check their phone every 5 mins. But of course you don't send that.

Not much, what are you up to?

Chillen, wish you were here, I enjoyed our conversation today.

Me too!! You wanna meet up somewhere, you could come over???

I can't, how about this weekend?

Perfect, can't wait.

You both text for the rest of the night, switching social media information, talking about things to do and at that moment nothing could be more perfect. He clearly can't wait to see you as much as you can't wait to see him. You weren't going crazy earlier, he was probably just busy, but now this weekend you have plans. You'll meet again, who knows what you'll do, but you really don't care. As long as you're with him it'll be awesome.

The weekend is here, and you're waiting for his text. He said he'll text you and you'll meet up tonight, but still no text. You take a deep breath, it's only 6pm, the night is still young, he'll message you. An hour goes by, it's 7pm, still no text. You remembered how your friends invited you to hang out with them, but you declined saying you already had plans. You shrug it off, no need to get paranoid just yet, after all it's only 7pm. A half hour later you send a text, reminding Eric you had plans and if he's still able to hang out. You don't want to sound too desperate, so you keep it short and sweet.

Hey, you still wanna hang out tonight?

You get a response almost instantly

Hey!! I'm at a bar with my buddy, you coming!?

For a moment you're pissed, you've been waiting all this time for a text from him and he was already out with someone else. Part of you is ready to cancel, how dare he. But the anger quickly fades as you reread the text, clearly he wants you to come. Eric wants you to come, and you'll get to meet his friend. He's not embarrassed to have you around. You make up an excuse in your mind why he didn't text you earlier, and let him know you're on your way. Throw on your best outfit, redo your makeup and grab your keys to head out to have an amazing night.
