Love Is Blind on Netflix ended with five couples going to the altar. The series hosted by husband and wife Nick and Vanessa Lachey was one of a kind. The finale on Thursday, February 27, 2020 was extremely shocking to a lot of viewers. Couples who were expected to marry said, "I don't" at the altar, and couples who were not expected to marry said, "I do."

If you haven't watched the series, you might not want to read further because the remainder of the article has information about what happened at the altar. Those details are spoilers.

Giannina and Damian

The first couple to go to the altar was Giannina and Damian. They had a volatile relationship throughout their engagement. Giannina was loving toward Damian one day and fighting with him the next day. They fought more than any of the other engaged couples. Giannina admitted that she was a lot to handle, and she wasn't wrong.

Giannina was extremely nice to Damian on their wedding day. She looked extremely beautiful while smiling at Damian. Her vows to him were very beautiful and loving. When the officiant asked if she would take Damian to be her wedded husband, she did not hesitate to say, "I do."

Damian also said breathtaking vows to Giannina, but when he was asked if he would take her to be his wife, he made all sorts of faces before saying, "No." Then after Giannina ran out, he tried his best to explain to the shocked audience why he made his decision.

Giannina ran down the aisle, out the door, and across the yard. She stumbled and fell in the grass. Her mother finally caught up with her, and the two women cried together. Her mother told her daughter, "You should have said, 'No.'"

Amber and Barnett

Experts say most divorces are because of finances. Barnett learned during the engagement that Amber has a mountain of credit cards and student loan debt. What might have been disturbing to some, Amber didn't seem too worried about her financial situation. She once said she worked whenever she wanted to.

Barnett was the most popular man on the series. Three women had their eyes on him. However, Barnett chose Amber in spite of her finances because they were both attracted to each other. Both of them said, "I do" at the altar. They became the first couple to get married on Love Is Blind.

Kelly and Kenny

Kelly and Kenny got along well throughout their engagement even though Kelly said she might not be physically attracted to Kenny who seemed to have been boring most of the time.

Kelly told Kenny at the altar, “I absolutely adore you. I love you, but I don’t. I can’t marry you. And I hope you can appreciate that and respect that decision of mine. ”

Kenny was left at the altar, and he tried to give a reasonable explanation to the audience. Even though he was the one who was dumped, he tried to encourage the guests. He told them that he loves them and that he cherished his experience. Kelly’s mother admired Kenny for his reactions.

Jessica and Mark

The entire time of their engagement, Jessica questioned the age difference with Mark. She is 34, and Mark is 24. No one, including Mark and his mother, thought it was a big deal. However, Jessica brought up their ages in many of their conversations.

She often reminded Mark, "When I am 50, you will be 40. When I am 60, you will be just 50." Mark was willing to marry Jessica, but she used the age card to say, "No" to him at the altar. Actually, Jessica wanted to marry 27-year-old Barnett, but he married Amber.

After the finale, Jessica revealed that she had to go through the motions even though she knew she was going to say she did not want to marry Mark at the altar. She said in an interview that she wanted to leave the show, but she was not allowed to do so. She added that having to go through the motions of planning and participating in a wedding ceremony just for the camera was "tough."

Lauren and Cameron

Lauren and Cameron connected on such a deep level from the pods in the very beginning. Viewers felt their connection through their television sets. Lauren did not know Camera is white, and he did not know she is black because love is truly blind. They were the first couple to become engaged and the last couple to get married.

Lauren was concerned that her father would not accept Cameron because of his race, but that was not an issue after the two men met and talked.

The only other concern was that Lauren has her own place. While she had fallen deeply in love with Cameron, she wanted to live with him and keep her own place at the same time.

One Nagging Question

There is one question that is on most viewers' minds. Why would the couples wait until they were all dressed up at the altar to decide whether they wanted to get married or not? It would have been less costly and less embarrassing for all concerned if they had called the wedding off before taking their families and friends through those embarrassing moments if they knew they would say, "No." Besides, those who eventually said, "No" had exchanged beautiful vows with their partner.

Married at First Sight on Lifetime doesn't work that way after ten seasons. The series has a Decision Day where couples decide whether they want to stay married or get a divorce after eight weeks.

Love Is Blind Reunion

The Love Is Blind reunion will air on Netflix on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Viewers will see if Amber and Barnett and Lauren and Cameron are still married. If so, that means they would have been together for over a year because the weddings took place in November 2018.

Fans of the show will find out if the two couples are still happily married and if some of the other couples reconnected after they called it quits at the altar.
