Little Things to Do While Dealing with a Heartbreak

So before I give you tips I’ve personally used that have helped me, I’m not at all saying all or any of these will “definitely” work for you in helping you completely get over a heartbreak. But these small little tips will definitely get your mind off of things and get you back into life and start to feel like yourself again. No one truly understands how much a heartbreak can impact someone’s life and effect it. I developed very unhealthy coping habits that really messed with my mental and physical and emotional health for what most people think it's something that isn’t that “serious.” It’s never easy getting over it so I just wanna give you some easy effective ways to deal with it to start getting your mind off of it.

Take a bath.

Taking a bath will just allow you to take care of your hygiene, shave your legs, arms, etc, etc... Throw in a bath bomb, some bath salts, just really pamper yourself during this time and even put on a face mask. I know everyone praises over the cute stuff for self-care but it’s the truth because it’ll make you feel ten times better. Just getting your mind off of things while taking care of yourself and spoiling yourself gives your mind time to rest.

Drink some coffee or tea and watch Netflix.

Might not be in the mood to do anything but stay at home and that is OKAYYYYY, get a mug, fill it with warm tea or coffee, and watch your favorite Netflix show and just relax. The key is to just keep yourself occupied to get your mind off of the person that broke your heart. You’ll realize hours have gone by and the only thing you were thinking about is what’s going to happen on the next episode, rather than thinking about all those memories of you and your ex. Baby steps... baby steps. You’ll get there.

Do a small workout (5-10 mins max),

You probably won’t like this one and truthfully, neither do I. I’m super lazy when it comes to working out but when I actually decide to do a small workout, I’m in such a better mood because I’ve let off some steam and I’m sweating which automatically will put you in a much better mood than you were in. Try It! Even if it’s for just five minutes, who cares, as long as that heart of yours is beating.

Sleep (all day).

This is pretty self-explanatory, so I won’t say much on this topic, just sleep, sleep for however long you need. Eight hours? Okay, go do that. Twelve hours? Okay, go do that as well. Refresh yourself. Reset. Just once you wake up get up at least twice, maybe go have a cup of tea or coffee in the living room instead of your bed. Maybe watch Netflix on your porch get some fresh air.

Cry (do not hold it in, it will drive you crazy).

JUST CRY... stop holding it in, you’re only gonna drive yourself crazier if you don’t. Let it all out, it’s okay, you have to start someone and after you’re done crying, do one of these small tips I’ve already listed above, you’ll probably just end up going to sleep which is fine as well.

Have an orgasm.

This might have been the craziest one so far but we’re all females reading this... I hope... But yeah, have an orgasm, it helps with stress tremendously! Give it a try, it couldn’t hurt (but most of you know that already).

Spoil yourself.

Buy yourself a candle, a new perfume scent, a new face mask or face scrub, or try out a new coffee creamer or maybe buy a new outfit, get your eyebrows done, legit anything to just boost your mood and lift your spirits. Or simply do something you been wanting to do but haven’t. Try a new food! Anything!

JUST KEEP IN MIND THINGS TAKE TIME, THERE IS NO QUICK FIX.

IF IT'S MEANT TO BE, HE WILL COME BACK.

SO STOP STRESSING AND GET YOUR GLOW BACK.
