One cold night during fall, Mark was feeling all types of ways. He and his girlfriend Christina had just gotten into a huge fight. The fight was about social media. The fight was also a struggle for control respect and understanding.

Both parties struggled with the thought of being right. By thinking one or the other was right they quickly became angry and lost respect for the other.

Mark stormed out of the cramped apt. He was feeling all types of ways. Mark was angry. He was feeling hurt. Mark was left questioning why. He was feeling right. He blamed Christina for all his actions. If she had not have started the fight he would not have become angry. If she had not made him angry He wouldn't have lost his temper. Mark was feeling lost. He was left trying to rationalize his actions. He found himself soon after sitting in a bar.

One drink after another until Mark was now drunk. He was now able to feel happy with the decision he made and had decided things would be better if he was no longer with Christina. His newfound happiness found its way, Mark focused in on the tall blonde that had just walked inside the bar.

The tall blonde came in a sat down in front of the bartender. She quickly ordered her first drink of the night. Mark saw his opportunity and sprang into action. He excitedly strode over and demanded to buy her drink. The tall blonde accepted.

Mark was determined to obtain her body. He was willing to do whatever the task would allow. He charmed, lied, and manipulated to follow the woman to bed.

After receiving his prize of casual sex, he quickly wanted to walk away. Mark was left feeling all kinds of ways. He was lost. He was left feeling guilty. He left with the question of why. Why? Why couldn't things be better? Why had he decided to cheat? He was quick to blame Christina for all the ways he felt she had wronged him. Now, he was left trying to figure out what to do next.

He decided he would hide his little expedition that took place. As Mark returned home the journey continued by way of lies. On top of one another, the lies began to mount. He was struggling to keep up with all the ways he lied and become exhausted. He finally accepted defeat and admitted the truth. His relationship was done.

Feeling lost, Mark went for a walk. On this walk, he began his process of accepting his relationship was over. He thought of how much happier he would be without Christina. He thought of how much more freedom he would have if she was gone.

On his way back to tell her the news of his decision, he decided to sit down on a metal bench. His focus was shifted to a zip lock bag with something inside. He picked up the zip lock bag and saw a simple little black book. He unzipped the bag to examine the content. He began to read.

Hello reader,

Be warned! Tell no one! Be patient!

Day Two: Give yourself to show kindness.

Day Three: Give yourself to show love for a stranger.

Day Four: Give yourself hope when you feel you have none.

Day Five: Give yourself strength in a moment of weakness.

Day Six: Give yourself peace when you feel lost.

Day Seven: Give thanks!

Day Eight: Give yourself questions.

Day Nine: Give yourself an understanding of being a fool.

Day Ten: Give yourself an understanding of being quick to act.

Day Eleven: Give yourself your faults.

Day Twelve: Give yourself an understanding of making mistakes.

Day Thirteen: Humble yourself!

Day Fourteen: Give thanks!

Mark began to chuckle at the thought of this book. What was the point of this? He had already done all this. He had gone through this process today! Where was the money? He began to dream of what he would do with twenty thousand dollars. His plans quickly took shape. Feeling revengeful, Mark decided to accept this quest.

He counted the ways twenty-thousand dollars would make Christina regret not respecting him. He was going to use this exercise against her. He quickly returned home not telling her of the little black book. As she began to question him he started working the days to be completed. step by step.

For fourteen-days, he checked off his accomplishments but found no gift or money. Feeling discouraged he remembered Day Four. Give yourself hope when you feel you have none. He had not found the money but things in his relationship were starting to see improvement. So he continued on his journey.

Fourteen more days went by when he finally realized he had truly found his gift. The gift was the little black book he found. The book had given him the answers to solve his problems. By solving problems in his relationship he no longer felt the need to search for money and never told anyone of the little black book.
