She Speaks
Everyone on this god forsaken planet was given a voice. Some can’t figure out how to use it, for the life of them. Others don’t know when to stop using it, and listen. I suppose I follow under both categories, or directly in the middle. At least that’s where I think I would be placed. Growing up I was the youngest of four children, there was enough talking going around that anything I said was quickly disregarded or ignored and yet they wonder why I’m so “introverted.” I have a lot to say, I do. A lot goes through my mind, but more so complex thoughts and deeper conversations than just daily chit chat topics.

Peeps and Onions
When I left the hospital after my husband's death, I knew I walked away without part of my soul. Marriage vows say, "as long as we both shall live," or the equivalent. I will tell you, those words weren't a reflection of my heart that cold, dark morning. Ray was gone, and a serious portion of me was gone with him. The misty drizzle didn't help, and our small town was as quiet as a tomb. I was already wondering why I was still there, breathing, knowing my existence was pointless without him.

Empathy: The Salvation of Mankind
The emergence of the technological revolution has shrunk the world, but for many, we are further away from each other than ever before (Unless you play Pokémon Go still). Social media connects us, but the gulf of understanding and accepting each other's thoughts and ideas betrays our lack of concern. Empathy is an inherent gift of evolution, it has helped humanity spread and flourish around the world. However, without training and practice, it is a skill that humanity may lose. We are born with the capability to walk, yet if we do not use our legs, then they grow brittle, It is the same with emotional health. If we do not practice or utilize our ability to empathize with others, then we will be unable to render support when such an ability is necessary. To ensure the progression and stability of empathy in future generations, there are several steps we must take.

Finding True Love
When you're young you hear lots of different things about love. You hear the good and the bad, the amazing times full of laughter and the nights full of tears and arguments. I didn’t know what to think about the whole concept of love until the 18 of December, 2015. The day I first met Aaron.

Signs He's Manipulating You (And You Need To Bail!)
I've seen a lot of relationships that started out nice, and then turned into a total mindfuck later on — both first and secondhand. Without fail, one of the key signs a relationship will turn into a draining, toxic, and potentially abusive disaster, has to be manipulation.

We Laugh About It Now
Back in the third grade, I had a thing with spies. For some odd reason, I enjoyed pretending I was in a movie, knocking people out with my super ninja skills. Not only did I love acting as if I were one, I passed it on to lots of friends in my class. Someone in particular though, Gracelyn, played along with my antics, despite how dumb I looked rolling down hills and shouting to her "I call this the spy cartwheel!"

Together as One
Isn't it hard, knowing who to trust? The easy way out, in your mind, seems to be to avoid giving trust to anyone. But from first hand experience, that is never the way, and almost certainly does not help. There are a wide number of reasons why you may not feel up to trusting anyone ever again, there are plenty of reasons why you may feel the world is against you.

When You Discover Your Spouse No Longer Cares
I think the first time I noticed that something was wrong was about 4 years ago. We were fighting all the time, I mean all the time. It was almost like it was a power struggle. I still to this day cannot put my finger on what started all of this. And to be completely honest, I can't even remember what we fought about back then, I just know how lonely I felt all the time.

On a Special Date
His fingers had been tapping rhythmically onto the bed sheets for the last ten minutes. He hated going through it again. Waiting for his wife get dressed in the closet played on his nerves. ‘’Lisa,’’ Johnathan called out to his wife, but no answer followed except the sound of more clothes falling on the floor. He heard her utter a frustrated grunt and resume searching.
