Usually, the public believes that those who are introverted are weak and closed inside, not good at interacting and expressing themselves with others, and they have a hard time adapting to the complex and diverse social environment. The biggest feeling people have about them is that they are ordinary and uninteresting.

However, psychologists' research shows that those who are introverted have more potential for development.

If they use their strengths in the right way, they are more likely to have greater achievements than extroverts.

So it seems that extroversion and success are not muchly related, but those who are introverted are more likely to surprise people and have a life as open.

There are two sides to the coin, and the same is true of human personality traits.

There is no such thing as a good or bad trait, but rather two ends of a continuum.

If you are an extrovert, you can use the advantages that come with being an extrovert.

If you are an introvert, don't be overly concerned with the opinions of others and trust your abilities more.

Introverts have more advantageous traits than extroverts.

High Perceptiveness

Harvard University developmental psychologist Gilm Kagan once followed some infants for a long time, he wanted to understand the relationship between children's cognition and emotion.

In the study, he first observed children's reactions using behaviors that stimulated them.

For example, a balloon was suddenly popped and the infant's response to the sound was observed. Alternatively, the infant's hand was shaken in front of him or her repeatedly.

Twenty percent of these infants will lose control of their emotions and burst into tears, making it difficult to regain composure.

Forty percent of the infants will remain calm, and the rest will be somewhere between out of control and calm. Those infants who are out of control are what we call the high-stress group, and those who are quiet are what we call the low-stress group.

A years-long follow-up study behind Kagan found that those in the high-stress group were more introverted than those in the low-stress group.

Introverts have stronger feelings, while extroverts have weaker feelings.

Introverts are not necessarily weak; they simply direct their emotions more toward themselves. Whether it is external environmental stimuli or internal emotional experiences, they have a stronger ability to perceive extroverts.

In interpersonal interactions, they tend to notice a subtle look or movement in others, and they are more likely to be anxious and upset when faced with the other person's upset emotions.

For extroverts, it is difficult for them to notice all this.

And this high feeling introverts bring the advantage that they can catch the smallest details faster so that they are better able to see the current situation. High feeling personality helps introverts to accumulate experience and develop their abilities.

Flow Experience Ability

Flow Experience, first introduced by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, is an experience that allows people to forget about exhaustion and indulge in the pleasure of enjoying being exhausted.

Usually, people with Flow Experience have one common characteristic: they like to be alone and do things that interest them during their time alone. During the time they are alone, they fall into an immersive emotional experience that leads to a state of forgetfulness.

In the 1990s, scientists conducted a series of studies and found that the majority of people who excelled in all walks of life were introverts. Introverts are more capable of Flow Experience.

Those with introverted personalities prefer to be alone and do not like to be around, and from the outside, they appear to be socially inactive and prefer to be quiet.

They are more relaxed when they are with themselves, they don't need to cater to others, and they can think better.

Extroverts tend to have a lot of friends, while for introverts, one or two quality friends will be enough. Introverts are more likely to feel content and have more perseverance in doing things.

For example, the famous actor Stephen Chow, people who don't know him will feel from his plays that he is a smiling, cheerful person.

But Stephen Chow is a typical introvert, he does not like to talk, dedicated to concentrating on things. Just because more like that focus on inner feelings, it is not easy to be disturbed by the outside world, and eventually achieved success.

More surveys have found that those who are introverted are more empathetic and better able to understand the situation of others, so they are more willing to help others.

In terms of empathic ability, they are better than extroverts, and regarding pro-social behavior, they do more than extroverts.

Although on the surface, they don't have many friends, the number and quality of friends can never be equated, and quality friendships play a significant role in one's growth and development.

Those who are so-called more introverted are more likely to open up because they have more character strengths, precisely because they have high feelings and the ability to create a blessed flow experience, they are more able to tolerate loneliness and thus achieve greater success.

If you are an introvert, don't feel uneasy, those who are introverted are more likely to have an open life.
