In 2015, President Obama frolicked with a Chinese-American girl at the White House, and the identity of the young girl was not ordinary.

In 2015, the Oval Office of the White House welcomed a special visitor. She had a different skin color from Obama's, and her Chinese face quietly revealed her Chinese-American heritage. She was very young and did not yet understand the significance of the White House where the American president resided; she only knew that this was the territory of her uncle, Barack Obama. How could Obama have a niece with Chinese heritage? To understand this, we need to go back to his father's story.

Obama's father was born in Kenya and was intelligent and courageous. He ventured to the United States at a young age and met Obama's mother. Their marriage was a result of passion, and while it bore the fruit of love, it quickly came to an end.

When Obama was very young, his father abandoned them. In fact, his father was a despicable love fraudster. Even before meeting Obama's mother, he had a previous marriage back in his hometown.

He was good at charming women, and after abandoning his family for the second time, he entered into a third marriage. Once again, he failed to uphold the vows of till-death-do-us-part.

He fathered a son named Mark with his third wife. Returning to Kenya for his career, he faced frequent setbacks and, feeling his ambitions unfulfilled, he turned to alcohol to drown his sorrows, often resorting to violence against his wife and son.

Mark grew up in a hostile family environment. Additionally, living in Kenya, he faced other challenges. His father was Black, his mother was White, and being biracial, his skin color differed from that of the local children. In his early years, he was often bullied because of his skin color.

Fortunately, his mother had the courage to resist. Unable to endure her husband's abuse, she eventually ended the marriage and chose to start a new life with her son in the United States.

There, Mark's mother remarried, this time to a good man, providing Mark with a positive stepfather figure. He had the opportunity to focus on his studies and was accepted into the prestigious Brown University in the United States.

During this time, he gradually learned about his older brother. At that time, Obama had not yet achieved fame, and the two brothers met for the first time at their father's funeral, who had lived a tumultuous life.

Afterward, the two brothers had occasional contact, and their relationship gradually warmed. Mark wanted to make a name for himself in his career. He entered a Fortune 500 company, but his success was short-lived. The shocking events of 9/11 in 2001 shook various aspects of American society, including politics and the economy. Mark's career was also affected by the turmoil and unfortunately, he was laid off.

Mark didn't lose heart. His optimism and confidence led him to notice an advertisement recruiting foreign teachers in China. He keenly sensed a direction of hope and packed his bags to embark on a journey to the Far East.

Initially, he didn't have high expectations and even thought he might not stay for long and would soon return home. However, in the end, he put down roots in China.

Mark came to Shenzhen. The local prosperity instantly refreshed his perception of China. He was shocked by China's rapid development and gradually fell in love with the country.

He started as an English teacher and later, with some capital, founded his own company. Additionally, he was enthusiastic about helping others and often volunteered at the welfare home. There, among the lively and innocent children, the shadows of his father's childhood were healed in his interactions with them.

Mark was very interested in Chinese culture. He enjoyed tea and often went to teahouses to learn Chinese while sipping tea. It was at this time and place that fate surprised him, as he found his true love!

In the teahouse worked a staff member named Liu Xuehua. She was beautiful and gentle. Seeing Mark struggling with Chinese, she kindly offered to help him.

As time went by, the two became acquainted. Mark found himself attracted to this Chinese girl and enthusiastically pursued her.

It must be said that Liu Xuehua was a brave girl. With differences in skin color, nationality, and upbringing between them, she ultimately accepted him, displaying remarkable courage.

As expected, their love faced opposition. Liu Xuehua's parents, being traditional Henanese, were skeptical when they saw their daughter's foreign, dark-skinned boyfriend. Fortunately, Mark was determined in this relationship and eventually moved Liu Xuehua's parents with his sincerity, gaining their approval.

To better get along with Liu Xuehua, Mark delved deeper into Chinese culture. Later, he not only mastered excellent calligraphy but could also read Chinese classics like "Dream of the Red Chamber."

In 2008, as Mark and Liu Xuehua tied the knot, across the ocean, Obama reached the pinnacle of his career—becoming the President of the United States.

American media uncovered their relationship, and it was then that Liu Xuehua discovered that her husband had a brother who was a president!

Mark certainly didn't intend to keep this from his wife. He simply didn't want to ride on his brother's fame and preferred to keep the media from disturbing his peaceful life in China.

However, Mark didn't intentionally avoid his family because of this. Their interactions increased. When Obama visited China, he specifically met Mark and Liu Xuehua.

Mark also supported Obama. During Obama's re-election campaign, Mark stepped forward to defend him against criticisms, particularly from the Asian community, regarding some inappropriate remarks about Asian immigrants.

Mark rushed to the United States to support his brother, turning around people's negative opinions of Obama. After the matter was resolved, when they parted ways, he personally wrote "Tianya Zhichi" (天涯咫尺) to Obama, indicating their deep brotherly bond.

The bond between the two brothers grew stronger. Despite the geographical distance, Mark occasionally took his wife to visit his brother's family. With the birth of their daughter Lingling, their relationship became even closer.

Obama cherished his two daughters and treated Mark's daughter with the same affection.

On that day in the White House in 2015, the naive Lingling turned Obama's office into a playground. Despite Obama having official duties, he was more than willing to play with her, engaging in games of hide-and-seek and chatting about China.

Lingling received education from both cultures. She was proficient with chopsticks and also adept with a knife and fork. Her biracial father, Mark, could tell her many foreign customs, while her Chinese mother, Liu Xuehua, could teach her traditional Chinese culture.

Under the love and care of many, she would grow up healthy and happy.

The union of Mark and Liu Xuehua, the harmonious integration of Mark's family with Obama's, symbolized a collision and fusion of Eastern and Western cultures.

In Lingling, one could see a hope: people of different ethnicities, skin colors, and nationalities can be closely connected through love.
