A Short Moment in Time

I Love You

Their eyes locked together as they smiled and ran as fast as they could to the market.

"I won," she yelled.

"It was a tie, I guess," he sighed. She nudged his shoulder and giggled, walking inside.

"We're getting soda, right?"

"Yeah, they're over there," he pointed. "You know, there's something I've been meaning to ask you." She turned and smiled.

"Okay shoot." She grabbed the sodas and headed to the counter.

"Not here," he whispered. He smiled at her giggle, that which he was quite fond of.

"Three bucks," the cashier demanded. He handed him the money and grabbed the bag as he walked out.

"That way," he motioned over behind the market. He placed the bag on the ground as they moved out of sight. They stopped, he said nothing, only stared into her eyes.

"So wha—"

He pushed her against the back of the building, she lost her words. He kissed her so passionately they both forgot where they were and what they were doing. When the sweet kiss was over, she looked up into his eyes.

"What about—"

He kissed her ever so slightly just to stop her words.

"It's not true." She knew in her heart she had no reason not to believe him, but everyone said otherwise.

"How do you know?" He smiled at her question.

"I just did it."

"I-i-i-" she stumbled. "I'll, see you later." She ran away heading home. He leaned back against the building, sliding down to the ground. Letting out a sign, he smiled the brightest smile.

She opened the door to her house and ran to her room ignoring her mother's call. She shut her door.

She saw herself in the mirror and didn't even realize, she had been smiling the whole time.

He sat on the ground, not even thinking about moving. He knew she would come back.

She looked at herself. She wasn't sick—actually, she was happy.

He felt his lips with his fingers, knowing love had just happened between his and hers.

She left her room and ran back to him, not even stopping to breathe. As she made it back she sat down next to him.

"I'm not sick," she laughed. He leaned over and kissed her a third time.

"Of course you're not." He smiled. "Will you love me? Be with me? Maybe one day marry me." Her mouth shot open with a smile.

"Yeah, no one can know," he nodded.

"Let's go to my place." He stood up holding out his hand.

As soon as the door shut, they started kissing consistently, unbuttoning each other's clothes. He laid her softly on the bed. She watched him take off his shirt. He got on top of her on the bed, kissing her neck, running his hands under her shirt. She moaned slightly. He wanted to kiss every inch of her, he pulled off her bottoms, lips still connected, he felt everywhere he could, kissing all his lips could reach. They made love throughout the night, eventually falling asleep in early morning the next day.

They woke up, late legs intertwined, body's close.

"Hey there, darling." He smiled, sliding the back of his hand across her cheek.

"Hey," she mumbled. "I've never felt like this before, about anyone." She looked up and he kissed her forehead.

"Me as we, my dear," he whispered. His hands moved over her hips.

A buzz came from the table. She grabbed a robe from bathroom and saw her phone was spammed with calls and texts.

"Oh no," she said. She called her best friend, asking for them to cover for her. She then called her mom, lying and said that she was at her friends. When she was done, she laid back on the bed.

"That was close." She rolled over facing him, and her hands moved over his chest to his face as she leaned in for a kiss.

They laid there for a while, staring into each other's eyes.

"I love you," he said. She replied with the most appropriate, but sinful words.

"I love you too."
