I Actually Found My Unclaimed Money and You Might Discover Some Too!
Have you checked this government website to see if you have unclaimed cash?

After viewing a local news report about the possibility of finding unclaimed money in California, I immediately went to the website they suggested, and began searching the California public Unclaimed Property database.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I located what is surely four legitimate claims associated with my name.
I clicked and submitted my claims just as swiftly as I had clicked on the link to the site, after seeing the news report.
Here's what I did, and what you should know...
Searching for Unclaimed Cash is Quick & Easy
Human nature is a funny thing, and sometimes, we can miss out on awesome opportunities, all because we manage to get in our own way.
As human beings, we're often suspicious and afraid to believe certain things, especially pertaining to finances and different money related activities.
In many ways, I'm just like most people; so I also tend to be skeptical about things that look and sound too good to be true.
I admit, that was exactly how I felt when I first started watching the ABC News report: Does California owe you money? Millions may have unclaimed funds sitting with the state
However, not only do I recognize ABC as a reputable news source, but I've been in love with their "7 On Your Side" feature for years. They always enlighten their viewers about worthwhile topics, as I've mentioned in the past, in several of my stories. [SEE: Failing at Putting an End to Sex for Sale on the Street]
ABC's stamp of approval on this "unclaimed money" story was strengthened by the fact that the woman being interviewed was a government representative.
That was all I needed to let me know that the site was legit, so I headed right over to the government website at: ClaimIt.ca.gov. and did just as the story suggested.
I simply typed my legal government name (not my online pen name) into the search area, and lo and behold, just like that, several items popped up!
Granted, they were only small monetary amounts, but the items were clearly mine, even though I hadn't known anything about them.
I used the data they provided, and confirmed my name, my address, and I recognized the source (providers) of the payments, as past accounts I've held.
Here's a copy of the interface page, where I simply ticked the boxes, to confirm the information is pertinent to me. That's all it took.

I know - it's not even 10 bucks, but it's mine and I want it. If you or someone you know, is now, or has ever been a California resident, you just might have a few dollars or even more waiting for you to claim.
All it takes it a few minutes to see for yourself.
Locating Legitimate Sources of Money Online
As a writer and content creator, I'm always open to new opportunities. That's why I'm constantly sharing legitimate sources for online income, just like I indicate in the recommendations I list on my latest Benable profile called: "Goode On the Grind".
I enjoy helping people and leading them to potential income sources they can benefit from. That's why I couldn't wait to tell folks about the hundreds and in some cases, thousands of dollars, that many unsuspecting individuals and small businesses may have somehow overlooked and be entitled to.
According to Malia Cohen, the State Controller quoted in the report:
"Businesses also lose track of money," Cohen said. "Think about it. If you have a business partner and you and your business partner split, or you shut down the business and you have a deposit on a piece of property or an office space ... ownership changes. So people should be looking not only for their individual names, but also business names."
Imagine that...!
Other types of unclaimed money they list, results from things like closed bank accounts, utility companies and other inactive consumer accounts, even proceeds due beneficiaries.
The possibility of having left money on the table at one time or another is bigger than you think.
So anyone who reads this information can feel secure in the fact that:
- This is totally legitimate and not a scam
- I'm not affiliated with the government or some shady business
- I'm not asking for any personal information or payment
I'm simply doing what I've been doing online for years; offering useful details and valuable information worthy of a little time and consideration.
Final Thoughts
If this particular California specific web resource sounds like it might prove helpful to you, why not visit the site and verify the facts for yourself by searching California's official Unclaimed Property website.
Maybe you'll discover some good news, and be so excited, you'll even return let everyone know, plus leave me a voluntary tip to show your gratitude (Although that would be much appreciated, it's certainly not required).
Here's one final point to keep in mind, whether you've ever been a California resident or not.
California is just one state, but every U.S. state actually operates its own official unclaimed property website, even though they use a different site to access the information.
Now that this information is on your radar, you can do a little research and find a similar resource site, specific to your own locality.
Good luck :-)
