ITINERARY

Day 1: Journey from Rishikesh to Sari and then climb to Deoriatal (192 km journey, 2.5 km trail).

The complete trip leads you to the peak beneath which the Ganga runs. You can also see the junction of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, which create the Ganga. Our journey starts on a well-marked rock path, with a gradual climb up the hillside to Sari. The ascent will reward you with a spectacular perspective of Deoriatal, the Chaukhamba massif, and other Himalayan summits. For the night, camp next to Deoria Tal.

Day 2: Hike from Deoriatal to Chopta (2680m) via Rohini Bugyal (15 km, 7 hours).

Rohini Bugyal Chopta is a small meadow nestled in the middle of a rhododendron woodland. It offers breathtaking vistas of the Kedar Gumbad and Kala Parbat summits. This section of the woodland contains some of the sanctuary's earliest oak, maple, and rhododendron trees. Chopta, India's "Mini Switzerland," is a pristine natural location situated in the heart of the Himalayas. It provides a stunning perspective of several Himalayan summits, including Trishul, Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and many others.

Day 3: Walk to Chandrashila (3700m) via Tungnath, then travel to Kanakchauri; 8 km walk, 3 hour drive.

The Tungnath Temple, at 11,400 feet, is one of the world's tallest Shiva shrines. The Chandrashila summit offers a magnificent 360-degree vista of the Garhwal and Kumaon ranges. Several Himalayan summits, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Nandghunti, Kamet, Chaukhamba, Kedardom, Thalayasagar, and Gangotri, can be seen from here. Return to Chopta and continue to Kanakchauri hamlet for the night.

Day 04: Trek to Kartik Swami Temple (3050m) and return to Rishikesh; 3 km walk, 180 km journey.

Trek to Karthik Swami Temple and return in the early dawn (3 km one way). After breakfast, we will take our waiting car and return to Rishikesh. Lunch will be served on the way, and the journey will conclude in Rishikesh.
