It was the little things that matter because he knew through the test of time, those little things would not change. No one can buy consistency. No one can purchase the way he look at her. There is no careful thought in the natural process the way he picked flowers for her. The most prestigious schools in all the lands could not teach him how to speak to her. Money couldn't replace the time he shared with her. His walk was solid and he did sway from her heart.

It was in the way he ordered dinner for her. The way he held her hand as they walked during a calm and slow southern September night. His smile said it all and his body language said it the best. For he was out to make it his only mission that she found a smile in no one else. He lived for that moment to be close to her, just to smell her natural scent. He gave her words that she held on to and then supported them in constant action. His devotion was strong and grounded in her heart.

The fire in his heart could never go out and the beat was so hungry for the beat inside of heart. His eyes said all that needed to be spoken. His posture told her that everything was real. He gave a kneeled to kiss her soft and tender feet. He gave her all attention and told her leaving her side was not and equation. He told her that all things were safe with him and keeping her heart was something that sat highest on his list.

He told her that writing about her love was something that he can do in his sleep, while defending her honor was his vow to do during the hours he was awake. Then she asked, "What is Love in the simplest form?"

His answer: "Love is listening and not saying a word! Love is that simple conversation that you cannot have with anyone else. Love is leaving your greatest feeling on the table and knowing that your partner is not going to do anything to abuse it. Love is knowing that the other person will not move in the roughest storm. Love is holding that person when you cannot do anything else. Love has nothing to do with testing the other person, because love already knows there is no test to be needed. Love is going to church on Sunday morning together. Love is watching TV on a rainy night. Love is the look in your eyes when I wake up in the morning. Love is falling to sleep on the same accord, even when we don't see things in the same part. Love is fresh every day because there is something new to fall in love when living with you. Love is attitude that even if today wasn't good, love still brought me right back to you. Love is to never hurt you and giving you the best mental comfort the best way I know how. Love is when nothing outside of you and I has no matter in the world. Love is checking with you out of respect. Love is being compelled to spend time with you, and leaving everyone else alone. Love is putting my boys on a every now and then schedule, instead of a weekly schedule. Love is telling me what you want, and me asking for clarity if I don't understand. Love is being comfortable and knowing when to listen to your better judgement because I don't have all the answers. Love is taking all the time in the world, because with you; time seems not to move!"
