Build your courage, one layer at a time

It’s remarkable how we can transform so many possibilities into becoming realities when we strive to overcome difficulties by just embracing some courage. If we hesitate for a moment about anything we are capable of accomplishing, we entertain thoughts of how certain goals might just seem utterly impossible to achieve.

Start saying, I can or I will for a potentially healthier outcome other than saying, I can’t do this. Over the years, every time I heard someone say, oh I could never do that, my response was always, why?

When I was younger, I experienced three years of persistent domestic violence. When I hear self-doubt in another person, my immediate response is, “sure you can,” and under my breath, I’m saying, “if I can live through a three-year nightmare, you can get through anything.” When I finally left my violent situation, I was determined and stood tall with courage. Saying I was a survivor is so cliché, and it’s also the truth.

I have learned people have different coping skills which can affect the level of courage one can build. Strive to achieve goals and have a mind that’s unyielding. Don’t self-medicate your fears, face them.

If everyone holding a position in the business world were to believe they wouldn’t succeed, then they wouldn’t. They would have to possess a non-timid imagination and work day and night to succeed. If they were to withdraw due to the inability to face difficult situations, it’s possible they lack the courage to see their projects all the way through.

A person has to have an unconquerable mind when striving to reach for great success. When a project is started, it should be pursued until its end unless exceptional circumstances crop up. It takes courage to begin great endeavors and courage to follow them through. It takes courage to face any fear, big or small.

Persistent and purposeful courage

It takes courage to go to battle and stand on the ground with strong principles. The men and women who put their lives on the line regardless of success or defeat, who are persistent in upholding their principles, who stand on the ground holding fear of what may lie ahead — these people hold so much courage. Their duties for their country create and build their courage. it also influences courage in others.

Life can be like a battle sometimes too. People of all ages have heard unkind comments or ignorant judgments spoken about them and their bravery lies within their level of patience and tolerance.

Life nearly demands that we need both physical and mental courage in order to succeed and exist in the world. In many ways, great and small, we have all been a hero to someone or cowardly within ourselves. Sometimes we don’t know which one we are until we experience a crisis.

There are so many instances in life that require a calm mind and a warm heart. We will have disappointments we have to face. We will have losses we have to accept and face and not an easy journey.

Every moment we live has historically been compared to a grain of sand. Every morning when we crawl out of bed, we are experiencing a little piece of life and our entire lives consist of a repetition of acts of crawling out of bed. This is a simple act, but there are those days when courage is needed to put that one foot on the floor.

It even takes courage to stop waiting for happiness to appear when the process takes working and making it happen. Don’t wait for happiness to happen, make it happen. Sometimes it even takes a little courage to make it happen.
