Feelings

The emotion; Love

By Crackie the poetPublished about a year ago 3 min read

Love is a vast and complex emotion,

It encompasses everything we feel,

Joy and happiness, pain and sorrow,

Our passions and desires become real.

It's a force that guides us through life,

A beacon in the dark, a light in the day,

A wish that we make on a shooting star,

And a dream that we wish won't fade away.

It's a bond that we share with others,

A connection that we can't explain,

It's the laughter and the tears we shed,

The memories that will never wane.

It's the flutter of our hearts,

As we walk hand in hand,

The shared moments of tranquility,

That we can't help but understand.

It's the comfort in the silence,

When words fail to convey,

It's the warmth of a gentle touch,

That makes everything okay.

It's the smile on our face,

As we think of our lover's touch,

It's the twinkle in our eye,

As we feel their love so much.

It's the whispers in the night,

As we lay tangled in the sheets,

The secret jokes and hidden glances,

That make our hearts skip a beat.

It's the laughter and the tears,

The push and pull of emotions,

That we navigate through life,

With a mix of love and devotion.

It can be a blazing fire,

Or a slow-burning flame,

It can be fleeting or eternal,

But it's never quite the same.

It's the silent vows we make,

To love and cherish forever,

It's the commitment to each other,

That binds us together.

It's the good times and the bad,

That we face hand in hand,

It's the knowledge that we're not alone,

As we navigate life's shifting sands.

It's the comfort in the chaos,

That we find in each other's arms,

The solace in the storms,

That we weather together, unharmed.

It's the sense of completion,

That we get from our soulmate,

The knowledge that they understand,

The things we don't have to articulate.

It's the support we give and get,

The encouragement to chase our dreams,

The unconditional love we receive,

That makes us feel like we're a part of a team.

It's the knowledge that they know us,

It's the trust that they'll always be there,

It's the knowledge that we'll never be alone,

That they're always ready to care.

It's the gentle words of comfort,

That can ease our deepest pain,

The way they make us feel alive,

When we thought we'd never smile again.

It's the purest form of emotion,

The bond we share with another,

The knowledge that we're never alone,

That there will always be others.

For love is the heartbeat of the world,

An emotion that makes us whole,

It's the connection between us all,

The thing that unites our soul.

And so we cherish it with all our might,

Hold onto it with all our might,

Pray for it to never fade,

For it's the thing that makes us right.

And though it may change and evolve,

Bend and sway with the wind,

It remains the one thing that we share,

The one thing that cannot rescind.

For it's the love that makes us human,

It's the thing that gives us life,

The thing that keeps us going,

When all around us is strife.

So hold onto your love tightly,

And cherish it till the end,

For it's the one thing that will remain,

Till our very last breath my friend.

Love is a feeling that transcends all boundaries and brings people together in a way that nothing can. It is the very essence of what makes us human and gives meaning to our existence. From the moment we are born, we crave affection and intimacy; we long to be loved and to give love in return. Love is the most profound and powerful emotion known to man, and it can change lives in ways that defy explanation.
