failed relationships in todays society.
boys and girls need to stop playing games with each other.

I think about this everyday. How messed up our society is and the mentality of teenagers in this generation. I may be only 19 but I consider myself an old soul, and really want to find someone the old fashioned way. I want to go to a bar with my friends, and have a male walk up to me and ask me for my number,to then text me and make plans for us to meet and get to know each other rather than coming across a hot guy on instagram, follow him, like a couple pictures,he likes a couple back, I proceed to like more until he gets the hint to message me,we speak every day, i get attached, they leave.
Social media plays a crucial part in the failure of relationships these days but I have many thoughts I would like to get off my chest. WHY DO WE PLAY STUPID GAMES IN THE HOPE OF SOMEONE NOTICING US?? Why do I have to wait a certain time before I reply to his or her message? Why am I deliberately leaving them on delivered so they can chase me more? Why am I getting dressed up with full face of makeup to take a photo just for him to slide up on it and initiate conversation or to see 'what hes missing out on'? Why is loyalty no longer a common courtesy or basic trait, but in fact, is now seen as a bonus or surprise to us when its infront of us? Everyone is so focused on trying to be able to pull as many guys or girls they can,too many side pieces to try and prove to someone else we have the ability to chat up anyone and that we are wanted,in the hopes that they want us more. I see a lot of guys and girls having to show that they are heartless and not invested in relationships, because nowadays it is a way of getting someone to fall for them. Too many mind games are being played when really everyone should just be straight up from the beginning and mature enough to communicate what exactly it is you are looking for in order to prevent leading someone on. If youre not ready for a relationship thats fine, but flirting with someone and giving them the idea that your situationship is blossoming into something when its not, only to act crazy and mean when someone confesses their feelings for you, or asks 'What are we?' after months and months of talking to each other 24/7, facetiming every night, sharing deep dark secrets, meeting each others friends, hanging out every week.
And we know what we are doing. We need to stop playing people.
