Dream Date

I'd always wanted to go on a date! A real date that is! One where I can be my most true self and not be ashamed by it! Real dates require no phones unless taking pics or sharing locations. You would hear this type of thing usually on the inside of a girl/woman’s mind. However, it's neither in this case because it’s my mind. Yes, the mind of a young man! Although I may be young, I have experience! However, I don't flaunt like I'm a gentleman know it all, but I can always improve. With that being said, this story/informative text will reveal my step-by-step process for my fantasy date! After a while, a glass or two of "Merlot" will be poured as well.

Let's touch bases on the term "real date". Now, in my experience, dating is all about intention and purpose. You intend on having a good time with your partner. And the purpose of the date could be random but it should match the intention. FOr example, a harmless movie date could pose the intention of just getting out of the house. But the purpose could be just to have fun. Or maybe to get to know him or her more. Movies are good for that! Or maybe even just testing the waters! Either way, whatever your intention or purpose none will be achieved until you begin with the vision. This is first because, for me, I like to play scenarios in my head. Idk why maybe to see the best/worst outcome. Anyways, your vision you must be able to see before it even happens. This is important because if you don’t see it happening, it may not happen. Your vision should be tangible ( real or realistic ) that you can do. More points if you're creative. Women love that! So for me, I always kind of wanted to do a picnic date, but with a twist. The twist would be something that I'm good at, which would be cooking and grilling. So knowing these things, I think I'm ready to have my vision. I envision my fantasy dream date as a picnic/grill date. The grill will be portable for easier commuting. Ok, let's work on a checklist to plan this fantasy date!!!

Next, let's begin planning/prep. A plan is nothing more than detailed steps. So the first thing would be is figuring out the setting! Setting/location is important because it gives specifics to both parties. In this case, I'd like a setting where it's a little water, nature, and sun. Also, I would like it to be a warm nice day! So I'm guessing a forest preserve would do justice. Also, we need to see what’s on the menu. Well, since this is a grill-out picnic, let’s do maybe something simple like steak and potatoes. As well as some snacks too. Since I'm a be grilling, of course, I'd need my grill stuff. So for example, charcoal, cooking spray for grates, lighter fluid, a lighter, grilling utensils, and whatever your grilling! After that, get some napkins, plates, cleaning solution, etc. Last but not least, we need some ice and something to wash it down with. When it comes to drinks, we need the right drink. With all to choose from, which drink would be best? Well, if we're eating grilled food we need a grilled drink. But remember, you're going on a date! So this drink also needs to drink worthy. Let's weigh our options! I don't want heavy liquor like Dusse or Hennesy because I'm cooking and I'm not tryna get drunk. I would do beer but I'm not with my boys! I need something that is both classy yet simple...... Hmmm? What could I get?! I got it!!! Of course!!! The answer for this would be....wine! But I need a wine that's going to compliment the food that I'm serving. After doing some research, I decided that I'm a go with this wine I seen a few people buy called Merlot! Let's dive in and see what makes this wine a good choice.

"Merlot"! Sounds like something from "Harry-Potter". Although it doesn't have magic in it. However, it can bring magic to any occasion. Here are some reasons why Merlot would be a good choice. First, beginning with my understanding of wine, I thought it was liquor. However, it’s not liquor because it comes from compressed grapes! Over time, the wine gets older and a much more delightful taste. I began drinking wine when I was working and assisting with cookouts. I was introduced to Sangria then. I never understood the reason why people drink wine. No, I see it is a delicacy. Wine is great with almost anything. In particular, I'm focusing on Merlot. Upon research, I discovered that Merlot is red wine. There are two kinds. One kind is considered light. This is classified as light because this type of wine is made up of fruit. This fruity Merlot should be paired with lighter meats such as chicken. However, the heavier darker Merlot should be consumed with heavier meats such as beef. In this case, I think I'm going to go with the dark Merlot. It's important to know the difference between wines and different drinks. That way, you can not only protect yourself and save money but also wow your guest or date!

Ok. This is the fun part! The invitation!! Now, feel free to do this any way you like! I'd even say maybe get creative! There are several ways to do this! You can go to old school and give her a note. Maybe send a text even! If you're like me, I'm thankfully tech-savvy. So I use platforms like Canva. Canva is a great way to express yourself creatively. If you have the confidence, a simple nice call would also suffice! But there are a few things to take note of. First, don't force! It's better to always know your standing with someone. Second, be creative! As I already mentioned this will give you the lead way into your thoughtfulness. Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself. Lastly, be confident! If you get accepted or rejected the fact that you tried is more than what some people can say. Remember, this is your fantasy date. You can visualize this as much as you like. Just make it to your liking and you'll be fine!
