It is a noble thing to follow your dream. We all learned from an early age from books, movies, and our mentors, that we have to start realizing the most burning dreams.

And yet, very few of us really follow our dreams. After high school and college, we put our dreams aside and go in search of a job. We would rather do what it takes to pay our bills than step outside the comfort zone and face the possibility of a new life.

Dreamers or action people?

It is not easy to live your dream. In an attempt to make their dreams come true, many people have lost their relationships, marriages, careers, homes, family, friends, given up their free time, weekends, and social life.

Everyone can follow their dreams, but not everyone does. People who have dreams but do not take action are called "dreamers." Those who do something to make their dreams come true are called "action people."

9 main differences between dreamers and those who take action:

Dreamers speak, those who take action do.

Ask a dreamer about his dreams and he will show you the most inspired and grandiose image of what they want. They will talk about anything they think is possible in the future. Those who take action, on the other hand, are silent and do. They wake up early, work late, sacrifice their weekends, and move on when faced with failures.

Dreamers postpone, those who take action start as soon as possible.

Dreamers will let the blockages distract them and delay them. They will always come up with reasons why I can't start today. Those who take action start before they are ready. If they can't get started right away, they'll prepare their resources, look for mentors, and find out what they need to get started.

Dreamers speculate those who take action experiment.

Dreamers contemplate all the pros and cons. Formulate hypotheses, theories, philosophize on all possibilities. They think of anything that might come up. While planning is good, experimentation is even better.

When you act, you know what works and what doesn't. When you work on something and make a mistake, you have the opportunity to improve. Those who take action are constantly trying, making mistakes, and starting over, until they succeed.

Dreamers find excuses, action people take action.

If things don't go their way, dreamers postpone it. I find reasons why their ideas don't work. I find excuses to justify why I can't go on, often blaming others.

On the other hand, action people are solution-oriented. They always try to solve problems, come up with new solutions, and become creative in what they do. They opt for action, instead of being blocked by all sorts of pretexts.

Dreamers are guided by fears, actions people are motivated by them.

Fear is natural and everyone feels it. Fears arise when you do something out of the ordinary or when you step out of your comfort zone. Dreamers think of fears and are paralyzed by them. On the other hand, those who take action find ways to overcome them.

And people are afraid of action, but they overcome it. He wonders what is the worst thing that can happen, I know it can't come true and I'm moving on. I know that once a certain fear is overcome, they will be motivated to overcome others that will come.

Dreamers focus on the destination, the action people on the journey.

If you are just thinking about reaching your destination or fulfilling your dream without taking action, you are unlikely to succeed. Dreams like to visualize their destination, which is good, but they don't do anything concrete to get there.

Action people supplement their dreams with action. They live in the present, not the future, so every day they try to get where they want to go.

Dreamers compare their dreams, actions people build them.

Dreamers think about their dreams and then compare themselves to those who have succeeded. He compares himself to the people around him, to those who have tried and failed to fulfill their dreams. Action people use comparisons less.

They simply work to make their dreams come true, without being too interested in what others have done. He looks around for lessons and guidance, not comparisons.

"Once you start pursuing your dream, your life wakes up and everything makes sense." - Barbara Sher

Dreamers stop in the face of failure, action people are inspired by failure.

Dreamers fail once and give up their dreams. Action people see failure as a way to improve. Dreamers believe that failure is a sign to stop. Those who take action see failure as a sign that they need to move on; according to them, every failure brings you closer to success.

Dreamers stop, action people, move on.

Dreamers are stopped by obstacles and failures. If you do not believe enough in your dreams, you will easily give them up. If you do not put effort and energy into fulfilling your dreams, you will not be stimulated enough to continue.

Action people are resilient. They don't want to fail and waste their efforts, so they go ahead. I know that every mistake will help them get closer to their destination.

Are you a dreamer or a man of action? What are you doing today to make your dream come true?
