Date Nights That Are Actually Surprisingly Sexy...

AND they don't break your bank!

Whether you are in a brand new relationship or long-term and going strong, it is important to keep things exciting. You know when you get comfortable and every day is a couch day? That’s fine! You can’t have date nights and holidays continuously, especially in the long term when being in each other's lives becomes the norm, but the occasional spontaneous sexy night out is always a welcome surprise and will build memories that you can relive forever. Here are a few of my favourite super sexy date nights that WON’T break your bank account.

Driving...

Okay, hear me out. Driving is not fun. NO ONE likes being stuck in traffic. Travelling as a means to get from one place to another is nothing more then a time consuming inconvenience. But have you ever gone on a late night drive with your other half, out of the city, with the windows down, and the nighttime summer air blowing in your hair? Drive aimlessly, play music loudly, sing and talk. Then pull over somewhere secluded and make out on the back seat (the problem is that you can’t drink, but if you’re like me, that isn’t an issue).

You can also go for a drive during the day. Go looking for new places, maybe a hidden wood or river, a food spot you’ve never seen before. If it's a beautiful day, think about hiring an open top car for the day! Pack a picnic and just go!

Beach/ River Walks

They cost nothing and the romantic views are endless, whether you live in the city and are walking the banks of the river admiring the lights and people watching as you hold hands, or sneaking away to your nearest coast to walk barefoot on the beach! Grab an ice cream and share each other's flavours.

You can also do both of these in winter. I love walking my dogs along the seafront with my other half in December. When the beach is empty and the waves look angry and cold, grab a takeaway coffee and sit on a bench wrapped up in a hat and scarf...

Bonfire

Bonfire night is one of my FAVOURITE holidays (for those of you not in the UK, on November 5 we celebrate Guy Fawkes trying and failing to blow up the Houses of Parliament by letting off fireworks and burning home made "guys"... actually quite morbid in reality). It's an amazing (if not loud) time of the year. Autumn is well and truly set in and the time for hot drinks and toasted marshmallows has arrived.

Bonfires are super romantic. You can have them at any time of year (just make sure you are safe and in an area that making a fire is permitted). I love to build a bonfire and snuggle in my winter clothes toasting marshmallows. It's a super romantic thing to do with your other half.

Try an evening fire in the summer, play some music, and crack open a bottle of wine as you huddle by the flames surrounded by nature. What could be better?

Cooking Together

Who doesn't love food? I LOVE food and I LOVE my boyfriend; put them together and I'm a very happy girl. Cooking together can be a great bonding experience and can also get very intimate. Maybe try making a cake, something that involves a lot of licking each other's fingers and probably making out on the counter tops...

Side note: Add strawberries. They are an aphrodisiac and fun to share.

Candle-lit Night in...

This is all around just about sex to be honest. Light candles, put on your best lingerie and heels, make yourself look beautiful, and just wait for your other half to arrive. Don't tell him this is what you are doing. Let it be a total surprise. If he's had a hard day at work, imagine how much this will cheer him up. Spontaneous acts of romance are the best for keeping the spark alive in any relationship!

Sofa Snuggle Fest...

Probably my favourite date night, and I know I previously stated not every night should be like this, and it shouldn't! That way it makes it more special! I love snuggling in my pyjamas with a blanket and a tea and my other half and our dogs and putting on a movie we have been waiting to see or a TV show we've been waiting for forever (*cough cough* Game Of Thrones, hurry up!)

Slide off to bed after for a slow snuggly love-making session before falling asleep. Perfection.
