I will never forget that night. It was the night before our son would turn 19 years old. August 22, 2017 at 10:30 pm. We are about ready to go pick up our son from his nighttime job. Yes we always use the bathroom before we go out away where.

So with me in one bathroom and my husband in the other one. It is nice to have have house with two bathrooms . No waiting in lines to use the bathroom. I hear what the heck from the other bathroom.. Honey can you come here I need you see to something. I was just finish washing my hands and go to the other bathroom. There it was blood in the toilet. I think that we need to go to hospital after we get our son from work.

After we pick up our son from work. We told him that we were going to the hospital something was wrong with dad. Dad and I were going to hospital We were both scream to death. What is happening to this man inside. Thank goodness that the ER was busy that night. The ER doctor would do test and we were told to follow up with our family doctor because it could be bad UTI infection.

So we were on the phone the next morning and that afternoon we would see our family doctor. He would sent us to a urologist. This would go on for month with more testing and surgery.

October 2017, I was all alone when the the urologist would tell me after the surgery that my husband could have Prostate Cancer, Kidney Cancer, Bladder Cancer. We would have to wait to the biopsy come back he told me. The doctor sat with me for good one hour because he knew that I was lone and scare.

The biopsy came back as Prostate Cancer and Kidney Cancer. It would. It doesn't look good. The doctor think it at least Aggressive Stage 4 in both the Prostate Cancer and the one kidney would have to come out.

Sitting in the doctor office time stands still. Question which is normal. The plan of actions to radiation and removal of the Cancerous Kidney. The Kidney was removed and we started radiation for 45 days. He started monthly blood test and monthly shots. It was a long 45 days of radiation with holidays between treatments. The Prostate Cancer for went into remission for a few months.

Almost most to the point we got to breath a little easier Then our world crashed again it was back. After a scan the doctor thinks the cancer is back. Same place in bladder wall. We didn't know if the bladder was involved this time Scared to death again and wait for the biopsy again. It is only Prostate Cancer at the Aggressive form but at least there good news. It hasn't spread to anywhere else in the body.

This was only 1 & 1/2 year since the first surgery to tell about the Prostate Cancer. Another surgery and another to tell us the Prostate Cancer was back in the bladder wall.

What the heck. Both of us and the doctor was puzzled about this. What are choices now? Still monthly shots but medicine that would cost 25,000 an month. This would a pill form of chemotherapy. Good Grief how are we going to pay for this medicine. We have a great doctor who put us in the right direction for grants to pay for his medicine. Can't do radiation again because of where it is. The bladder wall. Back on the merry-go-round.

We are still in the battle with the Prostate Cancer which keep coming back in the bladder wall. Our choices now to remove the bladder completely If we remove the bladder it could spread the the Cancer to other parts of the body.

I see him getting tired and on the fence about things. We will continue the fight and surgery when needed. As long the medicine and he is strong to fight this we will together.

Yes it been almost 5 years now and we will make it together. Step by step. Appointment by appointment. We are truly blessed to have a good doctor on our side and team that works with us.
