Between Truth and Betrayal

Loyalty. Honesty. Being faithful. Commitment. All of these words should exist a relationship. But what happens when they don't? Well, I'm glad you asked.

Loyalty means dedication. If you are loyal to someone, you are not going to kick them when they are down and go out to find someone else. You stay by their side no matter what. And if you find someone else and it blows up in your face, the joke is on you.

When a person can't be honest with you, it's for a reason. It's not because they don't want to hurt your feelings. Its because this means they have to come to terms with who they really are.

Faithfulness. People make this very difficult. Curiosity is what has killed most relationships today. A man/woman sees someone. They get curious about that person, wondering what can he/she do. I wanna test the waters and see. These are the thoughts of a person that is not satisfied with who they have. I just call it like I see it.

Once you satisfy that craving you had for that other person, you still have to go home. But that person is still on your mind. Whether it was sex or just conversation, that person is still on your mind. But, most of the time, it's sex. So, what do you tell your significant other? The answer: nothing. Until....you get caught.

Then come the lies: It didn't mean anything. Here is the best one: You know I love you. I promise that's it is over between me and him/her. If it didn't mean anything, you wouldn't have made a plan to do it. You planned it, you did it, end of story.

Commitment. If you don't want to do it, it's fine. There isn't a law saying that you have to stay with anyone. If a woman has to throw hints about marriage and the man doesn't react the same way, its a red flag. A woman shouldn't have to practically push a man into marriage. If you are doing things that a wife does, you need the official title.

It's best to be who you are from the beginning. It makes life much easier. If you cant be loyal, don't get in a relationship. You are hurting yourself because you are trying to hold in that desire to call the go-to person. This person knows the situation and they are always in ready set, go mode when you call. You always text each other or talk on social media to keep in touch.

It's hard to be honest when you are a compulsive liar. But eventually, you will run out of lies because you can only hold on to the first one so long before the other person starts thinking and realizes that what you said to them doesn't make sense.

Some people choose not to be faithful. It's normal to look at another man/woman. We are human. But you should never be willing to throw away what you have for someone you barely know.

Commitment is something that many people fear. It means being with one person and the vast majority of people in this world don't want to do that.

A relationship is built on these factors. If you don't want to invest your time and effort into a person, then step back and leave that opportunity to someone else. To end my story I say this: A heart is like glass, when its broken, it can't be fixed. When you meet someone, get to know them to see if they are a risk or a benefit.
