Okay, so is it just me, or have you also felt off in some way over the last few days? The weather has been the main blamer for the anxiety and stress which I have felt along with some sudden fireworks of moods and madness.

Stress, a strong emotion that tackles any kind of sanity and crosses it over with red lines of uncertainty, confusion and mood swings, is a feeling of strong physical or emotional tensions. It’s often caused by external factors and sometimes it’s difficult to understand what’s really going on inside you when the outside seems to be right out of a movie script, so perfect and precious.

Be it the social media platforms, my small little social circle of four or a “top stories” blog on vocal, “anxiety and stress” have been the two common words/topics the past few weeks. You really can’t escape the world when everything around you points towards the same thing, no matter how hard you may try.

Whenever these words (anxiety and stress) are mentioned, “mental health, mindset and emotional balance” tickle my existence to realize what really matters the most. With May, I strengthen my soul to untangle any thoughts which may suffocate my peace and calm. Lately I did ignore my mental well- being as I exhausted my energy over stress, which many of you may also have done. But, easier said than done, so I will bring “self- control” into play.

Along with our daily lives and hectic schedules, anxiety surrounds us and manages to settle within us like a parasite.

The people around us, walking, sitting, working, playing, eating, wandering, falling and surviving, are all going through their own share of stress and love. They have reasons to be worried and they also have plenty more reasons to be thankful for. But, the problem is that no one cares enough to be thankful!

I often reflect back to the words of Aristotle: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

Frequencies and moods reflect through your aura and affect the happenings around you. The more you indulge yourself in a space of abuse, addiction or anxiety, the more likely it is for you to discover stress, pain and darkness. Consider this as a sign for your time to save yourself. Pull yourself back to the world of passion, presence and peace. Pace your heart and your mind with the availability of the truth, love and hope that’s all around you, to give and share.

Self- control, heals. It holds the ability to let go of anything that’s holding you back from your desires, in the hope to be fulfilled. “Stress’ is not a choice. You cannot step out of it in just a second. But, you can help yourself by realizing what really matters and if in case it does, will stress help?

So, the last few days or maybe more than a week, has been hectic for me. And that’s okay. Life happens and you cannot have the world in control. Comfort everything, helped! Comfort food, comfort reads, comfort music and writing was my way to cope and get through.

With shine in our eyes, may the month of May quietly compose within us a sense of self- control, respect and deeper understanding of what’s worth your time. The calling that you have been prepared for in life, will one day remind you of all the struggles you have been through to only appreciate the rewards. There is a lot to be grateful for, and I plan to use the month of May to be thankful and responsibly deal with “stress” and its synonyms.
