Attraction at first sight

Her house was supposed to be ready by Summer but the pandemic hit and life as we know it changed. Anaila had already given a notice to move out of her rental property so she had to think fast to find shelter. Lucky enough, her friend Leila had a friend, Henry, who was renting out his guest house. Since she is the mutual friend, she briefly told each about the other and arranged for a meeting in order for them to get acquainted and see if they could be a good fit.

It was a Saturday afternoon when they decided to get together for lunch. Henry was already at the restaurant with Leila while Anaila walked in wearing her beautiful summer dress that accentuated her curvy body while showing a little bit of her beautiful chocolate skin. Henry couldn’t get his eyes off of her as she walked towards their table, it was attraction at first sight. Her beautiful brown eyes, high cheekbones with a breathtaking smile caught him off-guard that he missed her saying hello to him as she extended her soft hands for a handshake. Leila had to shake him and said, “Henry, did you not hear her saying hello?” He quickly got up, apologized and extended his muscular arm to shake Anaila’s. As a gentleman, he quickly rushed to pull out Anaila’s chair as he caught a whiff of her calm summer scented perfume, and he couldn’t have been more attracted.

As they got acquainted, Anaila couldn’t help but notice Henry’s blue eyes, gorgeous smile, well defined muscles through his fitted shirt and that’s a sight for sore eyes. Leila could feel the chemistry between the two and couldn’t be happier that she is the reason for their connection. They talked about their living situation and exchanged numbers.

Move-in day approached quickly, she got situated in the guest house without any issues. While she was unpacking her kitchen boxes, Anaila heard a knock at the door, and when she opened it, she was graced by the tall, muscular, sexy looking Henry’s presence who was holding a welcome basket of goodies which included two bottles of Merlot wine (Mojave Rain and Acquaforte). He said, “welcome home” as he handed her the basket. She smiled and said, “uhm yum, a way to my heart with my faves, thank you and please come on in”.

“I am just unpacking the kitchen boxes”, Anaila said as she proceeded unpacking. “Need any help?”, Henry asked. She said she got it, but he insisted so she let him. They chit-chatted about their childhoods, and life experiences. He mentioned not having had a home cooked meal in a while since he had been living a bachelor life. “Now that the pandemic hit, I have no option but to learn how to cook my own meals”, Henry said while taking out the boxes.

“You just might be the luckiest man on the planet because I love cooking”, Anaila said when Henry walked back into the house. Henry smiled, and said, “oh so she is beautiful and can cook too”, Anaila couldn’t help but smile and asked, “would you like me to teach you?”. He responded, “yes please, as long as I get to cook with you”. Anaila smiled again and said, “we can start tomorrow but I will treat you to a home cooked dinner tonight as a token of my appreciation for letting me move into your guest house. I hope you are not allergic to seafood pasta”. Henry smiled again and said, “not at all, I will come with an empty stomach” as he walked out the door.

At 8:00pm, Henry was at the door with flowers, wearing a short-sleeve shirt and jeans and he couldn’t look any finer. He was left speechless when Anaila opened the door in her spaghetti strap black dress with her hair in a ponytail exposing her beautiful facial features. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her, as he walked in and said, “wow! You look beautiful and it smells delicious in here” as he handed her the flowers. She received them and said, “thank you, but you didn’t have to get me flowers”. With a smile on his face, he said, “that’s the least I could do since you are feeding me tonight”. Anaila led him to the backyard where the setup was and said, “I thought we could enjoy dinner outdoors”. He smiled and headed to pull out the chair for her. There it was, a bottle of Mojave Rain that he brought earlier that day. He said, “what a better way to pair up the seafood pasta than with a glass of Mojave”. They both agreed to that as he poured wine into their glasses. They enjoyed each other’s company, food and wine as they talked the night away getting to know each other.

They got carried away only to realize that it was already midnight and they had to call it a night. Henry was such a gentleman; he helped her cleanup while the conversation continued. He then said, “thank you for your hospitality, delicious food and most of all, great company”. Anaila was happy to hear that and said, “you are welcome, it’s the least I could do”. They both smiled and walked toward the door where they hugged and said goodnight.
