the story towards recovery

In a little black book, pages are empty. Waiting to be filled with stories of life. Not knowing the future or what exists outside. These pages exist to lend us a hand. To show the past. Never repeat again. For good or bad, the past stays in the past. As distant as the future it can't change or repeat. It haunts our lives without a reason why. So in these pages, a journey lies. A journey through time. One can only hope is filled with love. For without it this story will be told from above.

In a little black book hides a little black heart. As the pen cuts the page a story unfolds. A story of pain. Forced upon paper like the ink in her soul. All she wanted was love but the world gave her fear. A world filled with expectations left her feeling alone. A voice in her head that just won't go. She can't seem to fight it the world caves in. As dark as the ink leaking onto the page. Yet the ink soaks in and refuses to go. It can't be purged, neither friend nor foe.

In a little black book, words flow like water. In the safety of paper, a heart pours its burden. A mind that seeks to poison a heart. One so pure and void of hate. Yet deep within it cant find peace. For all the happiness it can give free. It doesn't know how to stop its own pain. Within this heart, a flower grows from ink. A flower of hope for a better day. Drawn with the thought of not living to see. What the world could offer if it makes it that long. That love might be real if it can endure. The pain in this heart from a devil's horn. A burden from which a beautiful love was born.

In a little black book, a girl lives in ink. Her hair flows behind while she runs across pages. It's the food that scares her. It's always been that way. The voice tells her it isn't needed. Beauty comes at a cost and her’s might take her life. The lie in her head that only she can hear. Pushing her towards the end of the page. Ink spills over as her mind wanders off. Into a dream, she sees a small hand. Lifting her up to see the light. To see the future, if she could just fight.

In a little black book, she makes a wish. For hope and change to come her way. To fill her life with love and support. So she may silence this voice in her head. That feeds her lies and crushes her dreams. To be a mom and feel free. That which the voice. Tells her she'll never reach. As it digs its teeth into her neck. It won't let go without a fight. She starts to feel the pain inside. The voice tells her it's ok. There’s no need to hide. It offers a choice to numb its own pain. She was here before but now she can see. This dark voice is no friend to her. It's pulling her down and she wants to be free. For the first time, hope shimmers in her eye. The voice screams louder but she refuses to die.

In a little black book, magic arrives. A helping hand and a golden coin. One feeds her love the other feeds her appetite. Starving her heart it has made her fear. The fuels of life which she had lost. A single bite feels like too much. It must go, the voice says but she knows its lies. With a hand by her side and the weapons of war. She crumbles inside as the voice screams louder. Refusing the commands it forces into her head. Filling her heart and mouth instead. Her head is so full it might explode and slatter the ink across the page. So she stays still. Refusing to move. This page may look weak but the book is strong. That which causes her so much pain. Must become her savior now. For without it she may never see children grow. To fill her with love is all I can do. The rest is up to you.
