Everything is your Fault/ Self Awareness

In order to gain self awareness you must first take into account how people act, understand why they act and behave that way and what it says about them. Most of us are living in fear, feeling insecure and we over compensate for that. We project onto others and place the blame outside of us to distract from ourselves. Once you can understand human behavior, you will be aware how you will be perceived. Having self awareness means being aware of how you are perceived. Avoid placing the blame of anything on external things. Think of everything as being your fault and see how you can help with the solutions, it will help avoid spreading blame. But to put it simply, the best thing you can do to live a better life is take accountability for everything. Blame yourself for everything wrong in your life. If you can do that, you can begin to have control. At least feel like you have control. It is important to remember that we only have a limited amount of resources in our brain. It is easy to blame a handful of elements and things for our position in life, but the energy, time, and resources it takes to place blame elsewhere is truly a waste. Ask yourself how is this my fault? You will always find an answer that begs self improvement. You will always find how you can do things better make better choices, don't blame someone else for failing you, blame yourself for trusting them.

Consistency

Most of the time the reason we don't accomplish our long term goals is because we lack consistency. Not because we lack the intelligence but because we lack the discipline. There is someone out there with half your brain doing what you love because they stayed consistent. Not because they are smarter or come from a better background but because they stayed consistent. Discipline leads to a meaningful and happy life because it will take you to places you have never been before. Being motivated is one thing but being disciplined is something completely different. Consistency will take you where motivation can't, discipline is doing what you hate but doing it like you love it. Stay consistent with things and you will get a lot farther than trying to be calculated about things. You will reach a point where you will want to quit and when you get there, remind yourself the reason only few have reached that goal is because they quit right where you are.

Gratitude

Take time in your day to be grateful for everything. Take into account everything that you have that allows you to continue living . be grateful for the ability to breathe be grateful to have the opportunity to progress and live another day. Be grateful for everything that life has put in your way both good and bad. Life is about balance and the only way to truly enjoy the good is to appreciate the bad and see the silver lining behind it. Unless you understand that balance is a part of life and you need bad times to appreciate the good times, you will be very unhappy because you will have unrealistic expectations.

Efficiency

You must be efficient in everything you do. When you understand how limited our time and resources are, you will understand the importance of efficiency. Doing the most you can in the quickest amount of time will show you what you are capable of but most importantly help you progress in a meaningful manner. You will get more done, and your strides of of progress will be be larger and provide you an adequate sense of productivity without over exerting your energy or resources. Sometimes being efficient means getting the meaningful things done first rather than getting a lot of things done. This will lead you to optimizing your time and energy.
