The Nigerian music industry is one that from the outside, you would think everybody knows everybody and everybody gets along. But once you're in it, or you start hearing stories from interviews and posts from people, you quickly find that this is not the case. Today, Omah Lay confirmed that he believed that one of the most successful musicians out of Nigeria, Davido, hated him.

When he made the post, some people were confused, not knowing why Omah Lay would think that. Well, I'm here to tell you now, why Omah Lay thought so. Here are 3 reasons why people believed Davido hated Omah Lay.

1. Davido Doesn't Follow Omah Lay on Social Media

Unlike Omah Lay's other peers like Bella Shmurda, Victony, Joeboy, Magixx, and more, it is so surprising to many people that Davido doesn't follow Omah Lay who seems to be bigger than many of the other younger crop of artistes that Davido does follow.

Till this day, Davido doesn't follow Omah Lay. I just checked on Instagram and as at the time of this post, he still doesn't follow him.

2. Davido Prior to This Week Hasn't Ever Shouted Out Omah Lay

Another reason why people thought Davido didn't like Omah Lay was because as much as Omah Lay has mentioned Davido amongst other artistes as his inspiration, Davido hasn't ever really talked much about him.

3. Omah Lay's Tweet

Because of the above reason, Omah Lay took to Twitter at some point to make this post that said:

People believe that the tweet may be one the reasons why Davido didn't like Omah Lay, because Davido may have seen this post and taken it as an insult.

What Has Changed?

Well, Omah Lay might've had a change of heart because this week, Davido while hanging out with American content creator, Kai Cenat, played Omah Lay's music for Kai while they were driving, which is what prompted Omah Lay to make the original tweet he did. Here's the moment of Davido playing Omah Lay's music:
