Story 1 The Shepherd and the Wild Goats

A shepherd drove his flock out to pasture and saw a few wild goats mixed in with the flock. In the evening, he drove all the goats into the sheep pen. The next day, the storm was so severe that he could not go to the pasture to graze his sheep, so he had to keep them in the sheep pen. He threw a little bit of forage to his sheep, limited to not being starved to death, while to try to keep the few wild goats that were foreign to him and become his own, he gave them a lot of forage.

When the rain stopped, the shepherd drove all the sheep to the pasture, and when he came to the bottom of the hill, all those wild goats escaped. The shepherd accused them of being ungrateful, of having received special care, but still wanting to escape. The wild goats turned around and said, "That's why we have to be more careful. Because you take special care of us, who just came yesterday, and are too cold to those you have been raising before. If other wild goats come in the future, you will surely leave us alone again to favor them."

Story 2 King Zhuang of Chu pardoned his drunken ministers

King Chu Zhuang was drinking with his ministers when a gust of wind blew out the candles, and then someone got drunk and pulled the clothes of the court lady, who also pulled the hatband from that person.

The palace maid told King Chu Zhuang about this, and King Chu Zhuang said, "Everyone immediately pulls off the hatband and throws it on the ground."

In order not to expose the man, King Chu Zhuang ordered all the ministers to pull off the hatband and throw it on the ground. When the candles were lit, it was impossible to tell who had pulled the court lady's clothes and the courtiers continued to drink.

A few years later, when Chu and Jin were at war, a brave general was on the front line killing the enemy and winning every battle.

When he was asked, he found out that the brave general was the one who pulled the court lady's clothes.

The brave warrior saved the state of Chu from a crisis, and later, King Chu Zhuang made him a great general of the state.

Story 3 The Lost Axe

Farmer A and Farmer B were going home together after finishing their work in the field. As they were walking along the road, Farmer A suddenly found an ax on the ground and ran over to pick it up. He looked at the ax and thought it was still very new, so he wanted to take it home and keep it for himself. Farmer B saw the ax and said, "We found an ax."

Farmer A thought the ax was found by him and should be owned by him, so he said to Farmer B, "You just said it wrong, you shouldn't say 'we found'. Because this is what I saw first, so you should say instead 'you found an ax' is right." They both continued on their way, with the found ax still in Farmer A's hand. After a while, the man who lost the ax came along, and saw farmer A's hand with his ax, and hurried to catch up with him, and saw that the other side was about to catch up. At this time farmer A very nervous looked at farmer B, and then said: "What to do? This time we are going to be caught by him."

When Farmer B heard him say that, he knew that Farmer A wanted to blame the two people. So Farmer B said to Farmer A very seriously, "You're wrong. Just now you said that you found the ax, and now that people are coming after you, you should say 'I'm going to be caught by him,' not 'We're going to be caught by him '."
