Not only do the contents of the egg have properties and use, but also its shell. The next time you break a few for breakfast you could keep the shells because they can be used in various activities that you do in your household.

In addition, you will save money because it can be turned into an effective sink cleaning solution or a moisturizing face mask.

Fertilizing the garden

Start by rinsing the eggshells well, then leave them to dry in a bowl for 24 hours. Crush them in a fine mixture with a wooden spoon, then you can add it directly to the soil in your garden.

Eggshells are an excellent source of calcium carbonate, which helps reduce acidity.

Facial cleaning

Mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with a few eggshells. Allow the mixture to soak for a few hours, then apply to the acne-prone areas of the face and body using a cotton pad. It will help you cleanse your skin and get rid of irritations and itching.

Non-toxic cleaning solution

If you prefer to avoid commercial cleaners, which can be harmful to your skin due to chemical compounds, find out that you can make a non-toxic cleansing solution right at home.

You need shells from ten eggs, which you then have to let dry. To speed up the process, you can put them in the oven for 30 minutes, at 200 degrees.

Then use a mortar and pestle to turn everything into a fine powder, which you then mix with three cups of baking soda and a tablespoon of vinegar. You can use this solution to clean pots and pans, the sink, and the shower or the toilet.

The beginning of a micro garden

Eggshells can be the first step in creating your micro garden. It is important to note that the shells you will use should be cut in half and not broken normally when using the contents of the egg.

After the shells have dried, use a needle to make a hole in the bottom, which is needed to drain the water. Then place each eggshell in formwork and add a little soil. Then place the seeds according to the instructions on the package.

Keep the soil moist by frequently spraying water with a spray bottle. When the plants have grown you can transfer them to a pot.

Remove stains from the thermos

If you have a thermos that you use especially for coffee, you probably failed to clean those brown spots that remain after drinking the contents.

Mix warm water with crushed eggshells, turn off the thermos and shake well for a few minutes. The mixture should help to remove stubborn stains from the inside.

Chalk for the drawings on the asphalt

The main ingredients you can use to make your child's chalk are eggshells, flour, and food coloring. Mix them all in rectangular shapes, then leave everything to dry for a few days.

Soften the coffee

Mix in a crushed eggshell (which has been thoroughly rinsed with steel and then left to dry beforehand) in the ground coffee bag. Eggshells are rich in alkaline calcium, which helps neutralize the acidity of coffee, making it less bitter.

Bird food

If you have sparrows or pigeons around the house, the eggshells can turn into food for these wonderful creatures. Bake the eggshells for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.

Then crush them and put them in a container within reach of birds. The mixture is an excellent source of calcium for them, especially during the spring, when it is usually the breeding season.

It makes your skin bright

Eggs can be the secret to a bright and beautiful complexion. Grind a few eggshells until they turn into a fine powder. Then mix everything with two egg whites. Spread the cream on the skin and let it dry. Finally, rinse your face with lukewarm water.

Clean the sink

If you want the stainless steel filter in the sink to be impeccable, you can use the eggshells to remove any stains. As in the previous examples, let the eggshells dry, then turn everything into an abrasive powder that you can use to clean the sink.

A source of calcium for your pet

Ground eggshells are a great way to add more calcium to your pet's diet. Spread a few eggshells on a baking sheet, then leave for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.

Transfer everything to a zipped bag, then crush the shells with a rolling pin, until it turns into a fine powder, which you then sprinkle over their food.

Pest control solution

Eggshells work wonders for your garden plants, but they can also repel pests.

All you have to do is gather the eggshells, then crush them and sprinkle the mixture directly on the ground. It removes snails, beetles, and other insects.
