So! You've read "Lake of West Dalton" and you've got questions. Well sit back and relax! I'll explain everything behind what you just read and all the gaps that probably left you puzzled. If you haven't read it yet, you can still pop a squat and read this Lore. You'll just be understanding the situation and the concept of the story beforehand.

Let us start with the camp.

First off, Camp Dalton hasn't always been the name of the camp. It's been under 2 different names. The first name being Camp Serena Bay. It was founded in October 27, 1919, by Carlie Bay. At the time, the area was called Serena's Outlook because everything was on a hill. Carlie wanted a place for children to come and have fun and spend time away from school during the summer. Due to Charlie coming down with an unknown illness, the camp wasn't officially open until late November, 1919. The camp was running for a year and a half until being forced to shut down due to allegations of physically abusing the children. After another year, Charlie had the camp reopened under the same name despite the allegations. On June 30, 1922, Charlie committed suicide in front of all of the kids that attended the camp, while standing inside of a shallow pond. The camp was shut down immediately. His lifeless body just floated inside the pond. Nobody knows why Charlie decided to kill himself, nor why he did it in front of the children. Myths are said that Charlie killed himself because investigators were cracking down on him with child abuse allegations. It's also said that his body never got picked up from the camp. There were attempts to retrieve the body from the camp, but all attempts had failed because nobody returned.

On May 23, 1933, it was rumored that a guy was spotted entering the abandoned camp, and leaving within the same hour, making him the only person to ever leave alive. That person was questioned by police and the news, asking him what he saw, what was his business going there and if there were any bodies he saw. The only answer that was given was that it was dark and foggy. That same man was allegedly Charlie's brother, Christopher Downy II.

On June 3, 1933, Christopher made plans to reopen the camp, but not before making a few changes. Christopher grabbed a construction crew of his own and moved the entire camp from off of the hills and placed it behind the hill, sealing up the pond that stood on top of it. Christopher would start the reconstruction the next night for unknown reasons. But then the next day, reported by one of the construction crew, there was a lake-like pond that sat not too far from where they built their main cabin. Supposedly, Christopher had no clue to how it even came about. He said in his defense, that a body of water of any kind wasn't apart of his blueprints. He even continued saying that the pond on the hill still remains sealed at its original place.

Christopher made claims that he made attempts to seal up the lake-like pond dozens of times, but after each day of sealing it, it was spotted the next day with more and more water inside.

Finishing the reconstruction, Christopher had the camp ready on June 15, renaming it Peace and Harmony Summer camp for the gifted. After only running for a year, Peace and Harmony Summer Camp became well known for treating kids like royalty, and the kids leaving the camp every fall, learning something new for the school year.

From multiple unknown sources, there have been reports of Christopher and some of the children performing seances and using dark magic. But kids and Christopher himself cleared this rumor by saying that they were playing a scary game amongst themselves. That would have been left alone, but that following night, an eye witness watched as a séance was performed and 3 children get dragged away into the lake-like pond. That same witness, who would go and report this, turned up missing the night before he'd make the report.

In 1936, Peace and Harmony summer camp's roster dropped from 60 students to 24 students. Without a doubt, the parents were outraged about their missing children. So outraged that the parents made multiple attempts in attacking Christopher, making 4 successful attempts. Christopher was forced to close Peace and Harmony. Christopher was later found dead facing upward in the lake-like pond. To this day, nobody knows the cause of death. There were no markings on his body, nor were there signs of drugs in his system. Days after, the body turned up missing. The media deemed the camp "cursed" and was never touched since.

As time moved on, the area renamed "Dalton Lane" in the late 1960s. The Peace and Harmony sign of the camp also mysteriously changed to Camp Dalton. Nobody has ever went near the camp in decades. Some drivers say that they could hear children scream at night along with a scout master's voice. One person said that they saw a really tall and slender person come out of the pond without a face, just eyes and large mouth, with razor sharp teeth and the whole camp was shrouded in fog. Some say that it's the ghosts of Christopher and Charlie combined, protecting the camp from "closure". Some say it's all of the children's souls combined, keeping others from meeting a tragic fate. Something nobody has real answers to.
