Mia, Tom, Lily, and Jack had been planning this trip for months. It was supposed to be a weekend of fun and relaxation in the woods, away from the stress of everyday life. They had rented a cabin deep in the forest, with no cell service or Wi-Fi. Just the four of them, surrounded by nature.

As they drove deeper into the woods, the road became bumpier and the trees grew thicker. Tom was driving, his knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel. Mia was bouncing in her seat with excitement, while Lily was already snapping photos of the scenery outside. Jack was reclined in the backseat, his eyes closed.

When they finally arrived at the cabin, they were amazed by its beauty. It was a large wooden structure with a wraparound porch and a stunning view of the forest. Tom quickly got to work unloading the car, while Mia and Lily explored the inside of the cabin. Jack stayed outside, taking in the fresh air.

As the night fell, they started a fire in the fireplace and settled in for the evening. Mia suggested they play a game of truth or dare, and they all agreed. Tom went first and chose truth, and Mia asked him about his biggest fear. He admitted that he was afraid of heights, which surprised everyone.

When it was Lily's turn, she chose dare, and Mia dared her to go outside and take a photo of the woods in the dark. Lily hesitated but finally agreed, grabbing her camera and heading outside. The rest of them settled back into their seats, waiting for Lily to return.

But she never did.

After an hour of waiting, they started to get worried. Tom grabbed a flashlight and headed outside, calling out Lily's name. Mia followed close behind, while Jack stayed inside, keeping the fire burning. They searched for Lily for hours, calling out her name and shining the flashlight in every direction.

As the night wore on, they started to feel a sense of unease. It was too quiet, too still. Mia's heart was pounding in her chest, and Tom's hands were shaking. They were lost in the woods, with no idea where they were or how to get back to the cabin.

They finally stumbled upon an old abandoned cabin, hidden deep in the woods. It was dark and creepy, with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and a musty smell in the air. Tom suggested they wait there until morning, and Mia reluctantly agreed. They huddled together on the floor, trying to keep warm.

But as the night wore on, they started to hear strange noises coming from outside. It sounded like footsteps, heavy and slow. Mia's heart was racing now, and Tom's face was white as a sheet. Suddenly, the door creaked open, and they saw Lily standing in the doorway, her eyes dark and lifeless.

She lunged at them, her teeth bared, and they ran for their lives. They stumbled through the woods, with Lily hot on their heels. Just when they thought they were safe, they saw the cabin in the distance. But it was no longer the cozy wooden structure they had rented. It was old and decrepit, with broken windows and rotting wood.

They burst through the door, gasping for breath, and found themselves face to face with the cabin's previous inhabitants - a family of cannibals who had been living in the woods for years. The family advanced on them, their eyes hungry, and Mia, Tom, Lily, and Jack knew they were about to become the next meal.

In the end, only Mia managed to escape. She stumbled out of the woods, her clothes torn and her face bruised. When she finally made it back to town, she reported the incident to the police. A search party was sent out to find Tom, Lily, and Jack, but they were never found.

To this day, no one knows what happened to them in the woods that night. Some say they were attacked by wild animals, while others believe they were taken by the cannibal family. Mia never spoke about what she saw in the woods, but she could never forget the terror she felt that night.

Years later, the cabin on Oak Street was torn down, and the woods were declared off-limits to the public. But Mia could still feel the weight of that night, and she knew that she would never forget the horror of the lost cabin.
