The old abbey was dark and silent. The only sound was the wind whistling through the cracks in the walls. Sister Mary had been sent to investigate the abbey after a series of strange reports.

People had said that they had seen a ghostly nun wandering the halls, and that the abbey was haunted.

Sister Mary was not a superstitious woman, but she couldn't help but feel a chill as she walked through the abbey. The air was thick with dust, and the furniture was covered in cobwebs. It was as if the abbey had been abandoned for years.

Sister Mary made her way to the chapel. The door was creaky, and she had to push it open with both hands. The chapel was even darker than the rest of the abbey. The only light came from the candles on the altar.

Sister Mary stood in the center of the chapel and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and tried to clear her mind. She wanted to be open to whatever presence might be in the abbey.

Suddenly, she heard a noise. It was a soft noise, like the sound of someone whispering. Sister Mary opened her eyes and looked around. She didn't see anything, but she could feel a presence.

The presence was getting closer. Sister Mary could feel it getting stronger. She was starting to feel scared. She wanted to run, but she was frozen in place.

The presence was right in front of her now. Sister Mary could see it. It was a nun, but she was different from the other nuns. She was pale and her eyes were empty. She was wearing a black habit, and her face was covered by a veil.

The nun reached out her hand to Sister Mary. Sister Mary wanted to scream, but she couldn't move. The nun's hand was cold and clammy. It felt like death.

The nun spoke. Her voice was soft and raspy. "Come with me," she said. "I have something to show you."

Sister Mary shook her head. "No," she said. "I don't want to go with you."

The nun's eyes narrowed. "You have to come with me," she said. "This is your destiny."

Sister Mary tried to pull away, but the nun's grip was too strong. The nun pulled her towards the altar.

When they reached the altar, the nun stopped. She reached up and pulled back her veil. Sister Mary gasped. The nun's face was a skull.

The nun's mouth opened, and she let out a scream. It was a scream of pain and agony. The scream echoed through the abbey, and it seemed to go on forever.

Sister Mary woke up screaming. She was in her bed, and the sun was shining through the window. She got out of bed and went to the window. She looked out at the abbey. It was a beautiful day, but Sister Mary couldn't shake the feeling that she had seen something terrible.

She never went back to the abbey, but she never forgot what she saw that day. She knew that the abbey was haunted, and that the ghost of the nun was real.
