The Demon Within

There once was a legend that terrified everyone who lived in a small village tucked away in the middle of the forest. At the outskirts of the community, a supposedly cursed mansion was the scene of horrible events. The former owners' ghosts, who had been brutally killed by an unidentified assailant, were rumoured to haunt the mansion.

David and Samantha, a young couple, chose to buy the house despite the cautions. They fell in love with its vintage charm and believed they could restore it to its former splendour. But, strange things started to happen as soon as they moved in.

Little things at first, like doors closing on their own and strange noises in the middle of the night, were all that were happening. Although David and Samantha initially dismissed the incidents as the product of their imagination, they grew increasingly regular and horrifying over time.

Samantha once found a figure standing at the foot of their bed when she woke up at night. The shadowy thing seemed to be staring directly at her, its eyes flashing crimson. David was awakened by her screams, but by the time he turned on the light, the apparition was disappeared.

The pair quickly realised that they weren't the only ones in the residence. They would hear doors slamming shut on their own and footsteps coming from vacant rooms. They occasionally discovered items that had been mysteriously transferred from their original locations.

As David and Samantha made the decision to look into the house's past, they learned that it had a sordid past. The previous owners had been assassinated as they slept, and the murderer had eluded capture. Also, they discovered that the house had been constructed on an old burial ground, which may have contributed to the paranormal activities.

The couple made the decision to try to rid the house of the bad energy that they thought was the source of the haunting. They paid a psychic to execute a ritual to expel any evil spirits from the house, but it only seemed to make matters worse.

As the haunting got worse, David and Samantha started to worry about their safety. They were startled awake one night by a scratching noise at their bedroom door. When they opened the door, they assumed it was their cat but discovered nothing.

When they discovered a statement scribbled on the wall in what seemed to be blood, it was the last straw. "GET OUT IMMEDIATELY," it commanded. While David and Samantha were aware that they had to leave the house, they also understood that they couldn't leave it in the hands of others. To try to find out what was causing the haunting, they made the decision to hire a paranormal investigator.

The investigator interviewed the couple and collected evidence within the home over several days. In the end, he came to the conclusion that the previous owners' ghosts, who were still looking for their murderer, were definitely haunting the house.

Samantha and David made the decision to relocate far from the community and sell their home. They never spoke about their experiences in the house again, but they knew that they would never forget the atrocities they had endured.

The house was abandoned for years before a daring family made the decision to try and make it their home. That, however, is a tale for another time.
