It was a dark and stormy night. Tasvi and her friends, Priya and Manav, were sitting in their dorm room, trying to come up with something to do. The rain was pounding against the windowpanes, and the wind was howling like a pack of wolves.

"I have an idea," said Tasvi, with a sly smile. "Let's go to the old abandoned house on the outskirts of town and spend the night there."

"Are you kidding me?" said Priya. "That place is said to be haunted. I heard that a family was murdered there years ago, and their spirits still haunt the house."

"Come on, Priya," said Tasvi. "It's just a silly old ghost story. We'll be together, and nothing will happen."

Despite their initial hesitations, Priya and Manav eventually agreed to Tasvi's plan. They grabbed flashlights, blankets, and a few snacks, and headed out into the stormy night.

The abandoned house was just as creepy as Priya had imagined. The windows were boarded up, and the door was hanging off its hinges. The wind was howling even more fiercely here, and the rain was coming down in sheets.

The three friends entered the house, their flashlights casting eerie shadows on the walls. The house was dark and musty, and they could hear the sound of creaking floorboards and the rustling of rats in the walls.

As they explored the house, they suddenly heard a loud noise coming from upstairs. They cautiously climbed the stairs, their flashlights illuminating the way.

When they reached the top of the stairs, they found themselves in a large, dark room. In the center of the room was a table, and on the table was a book. The cover of the book was old and worn, and the pages were yellowed with age.

"What is this?" said Tasvi, picking up the book.

Suddenly, the room was filled with a bright light, and the three friends were enveloped in a thick mist. When the mist cleared, they found themselves in a different room, one that was not part of the house they had entered.

"What's going on?" said Manav, his voice shaking with fear.

"I don't know," said Priya. "But I think we're in some kind of nightmare."

As they looked around the room, they saw that there were several other people there, people who were staring at them with blank, expressionless faces.

"Who are you?" said Tasvi.

"We are the spirits of the murdered family," said one of the spirits. "We were trapped in this nightmare for many years, but now we have finally been released. And we're not alone."

The spirits began to close in on the three friends, their ghostly hands reaching out to grab them. Tasvi, Priya, and Manav tried to run, but they found that they were unable to escape the room.

Just as the spirits were about to grab them, Tasvi remembered the book she had picked up. She opened it, and to her surprise, she found that the pages were filled with spells and incantations.

Desperate, she began to recite one of the spells, and to her surprise, the spirits began to shrink away. The nightmare began to fade, and the three friends found themselves back in the real world.

When they looked around, they saw that the book was no longer in Tasvi's hands. They assumed that it had disappeared back into the nightmare world. They quickly gathered their things and trembling and drenched from the rain, the three friends stumbled out of the abandoned house and into the night. They were silent for a few minutes, trying to process what had just happened.

"What was that?" said Priya, finally breaking the silence.

"I don't know," said Tasvi, "but I think it had something to do with that book."

"That book was evil," said Manav. "We should never have gone to that house."

But as they walked back to their dorm, they couldn't shake the feeling that they had been a part of something much bigger and more sinister than just a ghost story.

Days passed, and the three friends tried to forget about the nightmare they had experienced in the abandoned house. But strange things started happening to them. They were plagued by strange visions and nightmares, and they felt like they were being watched.

Tasvi was the first to crack. She began to have vivid nightmares every night, nightmares in which she was trapped in the room with the spirits of the murdered family. She tried to tell her friends, but they didn't believe her. They thought she was just imagining things.

But then, Priya started to experience the same nightmares. And soon, Manav was having them too. They were all being pulled back into the nightmare world, and they didn't know how to escape.

One night, they decided to go back to the abandoned house and find the book. They hoped that by destroying it, they could end the nightmare once and for all.

When they arrived at the house, they found the book exactly where they had left it, on the table in the dark room. They approached the table, and as soon as they touched the book, they were once again enveloped in the thick mist.

But this time, the spirits were even more powerful and determined to keep the three friends trapped in the nightmare world forever. The three friends fought back with everything they had, using the spells and incantations from the book.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they were able to destroy the book and escape the nightmare world. They emerged from the house, exhausted and battered, but they were finally free.

The three friends never spoke of the nightmare they had experienced again, but they were never able to fully shake the feeling that they had been a part of something truly evil and sinister. They never forgot the spirits of the murdered family, and they never forgot the book that had nearly claimed their souls.

From that day on, they made a vow to never enter an abandoned house again. They knew that some things were better left untouched, and that some nightmares were meant to remain just that – nightmares.
