Wynona Earp
When it comes to television, I am a person to who can weigh in. I am a stay-at-home mom who barely sleeps. I go from one show to the next in rapid succession. Many an evening is spent clacking away writing stories, cleaning the kitchen, or being semi comatose on the couch. This brings me to my latest binge. Wynona Earp. I would say if you like the supernatural, a lot of darkness carved out with humor, add Wynona Earp to your list of must watch shows.

What We Do In The Basement
In 2019, a television show shot in mockumentary style followed the exploits of four vampires living on Staten Island. I am referring, of course, to Taika Waititi’s What We Do in the Shadows, a TV spinoff from Waititi’s 2014 film with the same title. I remember hearing about it, briefly. I thought it sounded like my kind of show, but then I forgot about it again until the middle of 2020 when I saw the show referenced in a video essay about vampires in movies and television.

Monster Mash
When I tell people about “Dark Shadows”, the gothic soap opera that aired on ABC television between 1966 and 1971, I typically get one of two reactions: “Are you talking about that weird Johnny Depp vampire movie that wasn’t very good?” or “Are you seriously recommending me a black and white, 50-year-old horror soap opera?”.

The Horror and Sci-Fi Universe
If Psycho, then Bates Motel You ever watched the classic 1960 horror film, Psycho? Well, if you have, and if you liked it, then you would probably love Bates Motel. It revolves around the lives of Norman and Norma Bates, a bizarre mother-son duo that are lovable as well as creepy. It dives into what led Norman to become the killer he is in Psycho, as well as going past that to its own ending of the story. If you like psychological horror or thrillers, then this is for you.
