Lakeside Legacy
It was quiet by the lake that summer. His family had returned, as ritual, but it seemed that theirs would be the only lakeside legacy coming back to hide away during these warmer months. The Nyugen’s were trapped in London, at least that is what he’d gathered from Connie’s social media. Mr Richards had gone bankrupt and had been forced to sell their lake house, quite the scandal to their entire family as it had been in the Richards’ name nearly two hundred years. And the Coleman’s… Well, nobody expected them to ever come back.

"Disappointment Lake"
The child was beyond unbearable to look at, the deformities were indescribable. A person might not even be able to call the little boy a child. When Mr. Webster knew this was his last chance to have a child to carry on his family name he felt this child was simply a disgrace to his family, and he would rather not even have the child at all, then to be embarrased. The Girls Who Cried Ghost
An exciting breeze tickled Marilyn Castillo’s nose as loose frays of her brown hair danced in the wind, catching a layer of salty dew as the sun rose on the sea’s horizon. She exhaled a long sigh as she watched the small waves break against the side of the great wooden ship, the color of the depths closely resembling the swampy green irises of her young eyes. Just as she was about to close them, a startling scuffle sounded from the deck behind her.

The Dead Will Rise
Friday, October 1st, 2001 The date on the calendar glanced ominously in Baron's direction - the clock seemed to laugh with each elongated tick. If there was any sort of expression that he found helpful in the present moment, he would have been grateful for it. Any chance to live with any sort of feeling, would have been taken with a preemptive smile. Except here in the ghostly town of Grimly Heights, no one had any. The lack of smiles, constant trickery and scares, the horrifying sights and sounds of the wind slamming window shutters against the foundation...it got very boring to the 17 year old boy.

Reunion
Pay attention ,everyone you meet has a part to play in your life, be the judge whether their intentions are good or evil." In this case, I'll just tell you guys this story, and you be the judge. As the morning rose in the summer of 2012, I awaken to the day of my grandpa's funeral. "What is it that you want to be when you grow up grandson"? The question my grandfather would always ask me, as I habitually replied with shoulder shrugs. See life at grandpas was mandatory because my mother would always be chasing the next thrill, having little time for me. Although I never complained, simply because grandpa Jessie gave me the love I craved from a father in addition to being a great teacher. Grandpa Jessie also took on an abundance of land in which a secret pond was where we would fish from, well okay hideout from grandma until her nagging ended.

Sempiternal
Tomorrow is my tenth anniversary with my girlfriend, Sara. We meet at the same spot every year on November 1st, even when it’s biting cold outside- which it usually is. I first saw Sara at the lake when I walked over there for my lunch break. It never occurred to me how shy I really was until she approached me and asked to share my picnic table. I stumbled over my words, cursing myself inside, but she laughed at me, she called me cute. The way she looked and smiled at me- I knew we were going to be together forever. We fell in love immediately. Love at first sight. We share a love that people ask me about to this day.

Cold
One night, long ago, in the old days, an outlaw named Mean Jim was setting up his camp on the shores of a quiet mountain lake, after a long, hard trip. The sky was clear and the moon was full; the water shimmered white. His little fire had burned low. The air was summer warm, and the breeze smelled sweet.
