Symptom

Alexander Stevens was an extremely healthy individual. He woke up at 5:00am every day just so he could go for a three mile run. He would get home and drink four gallons of water and get ready for a day at the office. Alexander worked at a lucrative accounting firm, he was incredibly successful at what he did which helped to minimize his stress levels. He loved what he did and he was good at his job.

Wednesday morning was much like any other morning, he would sit at his desk that overlooked the entire city. A metallic world that was bathed in sunlight. Alexander brought his bright green glass of matcha tea to his mouth and smiled as he took in the sight before him. He felt as though he was on top of the world. He already had an extravagant trip planned the following week to Japan and he just closed on a winter cabin in Utah. Things were looking great for Alexander Stevens. Nothing could possibly stand in his way, he was making a lot of money, his health was in perfect condition everything was just as it should be for Alexander. He brushed some dust off his cherry oak desk and his ruby cufflink tapped the top of the surface. He brought his hands up behind his head and folded them. Suddenly something occurred which wasn’t part his Alexander’s plan.

Alexander’s hand shot right up as if waving to someone, and it began to shake violently. A pain shot through his entire arm and into his brain. Alexander yelled to the top of his lungs causing an eruption of staff members to come rushing in. They saw his arm in a bizarre rigor mortis position and they began to pull his arm down to try to get him to relax. By doing this it caused his face to shift as if having a stroke. He yelled to his staff members “HELP ME!” But the words didn’t come out since he was losing control of his mouth. There was nothing else to do, he had to go to the hospital.

An ambulance rushed Alexander to the hospital, they tried to strap him down but his body was now contorting in strange forms, while his eyes rolled back into his head. He still had all the proper vitals and he was still responsive, however he looked nothing like he did when he woke up that morning.

The doctor never saw anything quite like Alexander’s position, at first he thought Alexander was paralyzed, since he was showing the symptoms of such a malady, however he had control over his limbs, albeit limited spastic control. They decided to give Alexander a CT scan and an MRI. After taking him back to his room something strange had occurred.

Alexander sat in his hospital bed straight up and rubbed his head. He wondered to himself what was going on and if the doctors had any answers. Alexander looked much more like himself again and you would not even know that he had any issues a mere ten minutes ago. Alexander still wanted to know what was going on with himself, he took his health very seriously, finally the doctor came in to reveal his prognosis.

The doctor looked at Alexander and said that all the tests came back fine and you are free to go. A cold sweat came over Alexander and he knew that this must have been wrong. Thirty minutes later he was discharged from the hospital. He walked outside to meet his ride when his body began to convulse and shake again, he just told himself he was perfectly fine and to ignore this strange symptom.
