The Night Shift
Dear Mom, This is my second week at the Texas State Aquarium night shift. The lights from the Harbor Bridge twinkle through the large windows and make a perfect backdrop to the dolphin stage. I can see the U.S.S. Lexington past the raptor exhibit. They are calm at the moment. The injured Cooper’s Hawk is healing well in her private space. My rounds tonight should be extra enjoyable. We have a new addition to our sea turtle family! Well, at least until she is ready to be released back in the wild. She was caught by a local fisherman and noticed something growing in her eye. At first, we all thought it may be Fibropapillomatosis, but it turns out it was just some abnormal skin growth. The veterinarian here said she would be just fine and should be back in the ocean real soon. Until then, she likes to swim around, and she seems pretty interested in the otter exhibit next door. I think if these Greens could talk, they would have a story to tell.

Horrors of the Deep
I’m a marine biologist, and I work in the Hatinggabi aquarium, the world’s first aquarium capable of simulating conditions in the midnight zone. For those who don’t know, the ocean is organized in three sections: the daylight zone, the twilight zone, and the midnight zone. The daylight zone is at the top, it receives the most light and is the easiest to study. Below that is the twilight zone; with significantly less light and more pressure, it requires specialized equipment to explore.

Consuming Earth
I When Drew arrived at the warehouse, the rain had just started falling. It was a cold late-September evening, with the first leaves beginning to turn the familiar bright warm hues; a hint of autumn was in the air. Drew told Benny to meet him at seven with the van; as usual, he was late. Drew decided against giving him a call because, as always, it would have been a litany of excuses and lies. Benny always shows up when he does. Besides, he wanted time to think and plan without Benny's constant chatter interrupting his thoughts.

Mr Benstoke’s Passion
Benjamin’s father owned a newsagent that was down the road from the big old Victorian museum. He would go every holiday but it was when he was old enough to go on his own that his relationship with the museum blossomed. Every Saturday morning he would help set up all of the newspapers for delivery and then be at the door to the museum from the minute it opened.

Chucky Review: "Goin' to the Chapel"
Literally every fiber of my being that has enjoyed Chucky for over three decades is still beaming over what I watched in this penultimate episode of the second season. Picking up exactly where we left off in the previous episode, we see the body of the fallen Nadine taken away, while Dr. Mixter holds the protagonists at gunpoint and demands the (formerly) Good Chucky doll. After receiving the doll, it's followed by Mixter berating Good Chucky for being upset over killing Nadine, and afterwards, we see Kyle (along with Glenda) holding Mixter at gunpoint, and as a result, the foster siblings are finally back together for the first time this season. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't emotional upon seeing Andy and Kyle together again. As for Mixter, she suggested an actual exorcism to get Chucky's soul out of the Good Chucky doll, which would allow "Chucky Prime" to exit Nica and enter that vessel.
