Not Dottie
If there was anything Abigail loved more about her job at the aquarium than scuba diving with the sharks, it was working the late shift all alone. After the visitors and front of house teams had departed, the muzak had been shut off and the lights dimmed, she could focus on her work and the animals. Plus a couple times each night she was literally empowered to do nothing but log the status of the exhibits. She was given a checklist and a few basic tools and a flashlight to use. From her walk through of the submerged tunnel with the silently moving sharks, rays, red drum, jacks, and sea turtles casting ever fluctuating shadows all around her, to her temperature and pressure checks in the loud, but static, pump room, she was left to her own devices. Heaven.

The Sanctuary: Part 3 of the Horror-quarium Miniseries
"Okay Milli," Doctor Ivers beamed ear to ear as he spoke. "I'm very pleased to see your recovery from the surgeries is tracking well! The pain on those skin grafts may persist as a general soreness for a few more weeks. You may note some itching as well. That's usually just the new tissue, sort of, eh, adjusting if you will. The moisturizing medication will help with this, but if the itching is too bothersome we can talk about prescribing antihistamines."

Appalachian Grandpa: The Last Trick of Treater
Grandpa was putting away the candy after I returned from walking Glimmer back into the woods. If Grandpa thought anything about my time with his old flame, he didn't say anything. I hadn't exactly set out to begin a relationship with one of the creatures Grandpa was always warning me about in the woods, but it was something that had just sort of happened. The two of us tried not to rub it in his face, and I got the feeling that it made Glimmer a little uncomfortable if she thought too much about it.

A Struggling Salesman
“Get your fish; get your fish and crustaceans! I got ‘em for a hell of a price! Local fish sold by a local man!” Mr. Bradshaw, the limping salesman, gripped his twisted cane tightly with both hands, leaning on it as its rubber base dug into the chalky gravel of the local fairgrounds. Prickly, curly stray hairs stretched from the shiny surface of his bald head as if competing with one another for sunlight. He loved the life of a traveling salesman, but he had a lot on his mind.

Mystery Unboxing!
"Hello Fishies! and welcome back to another YouTube video by yours truly MichelleFish! Today is going to be a spectacle, the most exciting and suspenseful mystery unboxing yet. I got a mysterious box from an unknown person, and I thought what the heck! I'll unbox it, I mean this is an unboxing YouTube channel after all, but before I unbox it MAKE SURE TO HIT THAT LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE! Ok, let's get to unboxing." "Michelle!" silence fills the room with a annoyed grunting "Michelle!" "What MOM!?" Michelle screamed. "You have a package!" Michelle's mom responded. In excitement Michelle rushed down the stairs to see what she had received. A package, no, a mystery box. It looked exactly like the one she had upstairs, confused she took the package and rushed upstairs to save it for another mystery unboxing video. Then she noticed, the original mystery box had disappeared. She put the package she had just gotten from downstairs on her desk, and maybe just assumed she had misplaced it, so she looked for it, but it was nowhere to be found. Her head was pounding, floaters were drifting in her vision. Michelle went to get some Advil and then after a little while she felt better. She resumed her video. "Hey Fishies, I had a HUGE headache! so I had to go tend to it, remember your health is important so make sure to take care of it!" Michelle winked at the camera. "Ok so I misplaced the original package we were going to unbox today, but conveniently another package arrived at my doorstep just now! so we're going to open this one instead, I mean it already looks the same as the original. Oh shit, I forgot the scissors." Michelle paused her recording and went to go find the scissors. She found the scissors and resumed her recording. "Ok guys had to go get the scissors, the most important part other than the box, is something to open it with! duh!" Michelle stopped dead in her tracks and silence filled the room when she noticed how long she had been recording for. 2 hours. "What the? I have not been recording for 2 hours, there's no way." Michelle stopped the recording and decided to watch what she had recorded, she maybe thought it was a glitch in the software. Ok, let's get to unboxing." everything was normal so far Michelle had just watched the intro to her YouTube video. Then her mom called her downstairs. A glitch, and the box was gone. "What the hell?! Ugh I knew this software was defective." As Michelle was trying to figure it out she heard the video make sound in the background. It was her just a minute ago when she ended the video. "This can't be right, I literally just ended the video and there's still like more than half the video left." Out of curiosity she continued watching, until finally she caught up. She saw herself in the moment doing everything she was doing right then and there. Michelle double checked that she still wasn't recording and she wasn't, so how was this possible? Then the video glitched and now she was looking at a recording of something that she didn't remember. In the recording Michelle picked up the scissors and put them back down cautiously looking at the camera. Michelle waited a moment and then out of curiosity and an urge she picked up the scissors and did the same exact thing she did in the recording from before. "No fucking way, is it showing what I'm going to do?" She answered the question herself with a silent yes in her head. In the video she started doing something, she was talking but she couldn't hear the audio, and then she picked up the scissors, it looks like she started opening the box. "Hey Fishies, or anybody, I feel like I'm in a fever dream holy shit. Well I'm going to open the box, my curiosity is killing me and I'm a bit freaked out. Here we go." The scissors slid across the tape of the box making a ripping sound. Michelle opened the flaps of the box and inside was nothing but a note. "I knew it felt light, but this, what is this?" Michelle started reading aloud. "I'm out. That's it? Creepy." As soon as Michelle looked up to see the recording of her however, she had disappeared from the screen. Michelle just watched, wondering where she went. Then she heard a sound, a knock at the door. She went to answer thinking it was maybe her mom, but her mom is usually loud so she was suspicious. She opened the door, and nothing. Curious she left the room wondering where she went in the video., she was about to find out. Something about the hallway and the house seemed different, it seemed like everything was moldy, and old, it also felt like everything was frozen in time, there was no sounds, no movement. She first went downstairs to see where her mom went, but all she found was a note saying, "Left to go run some errands, love you." That's normal, Michelle thought, but what wasn't normal was the atmosphere. Then a laugh, and a slam. It was upstairs. Michelle ran upstairs and her door had closed when she left it open. She opened it and everything was dark, even though it was day outside, the only thing that illuminated light was the screen of her computer with the recording, which now showed her frantically looking around and then start crying. Michelle sat down and watched. she waited a bit just watching herself cry, then she heard it. "Pretty, pretty lady, hehehehe pretty, pretty." Michelle started looking around frantically and then heard it again. "Pretty, mine mine mine mine." Michelle couldn't watch anymore, she went to minimize the recording, and when it wouldn't she went to close the application all together, but nothing was responding. Out of fear she closed her eyes wanting it to be over, her curiosity had finally caught up to her. "This is just a dream, a fever dream, yeah that's what this is." Then her chair turned around, her eyes were still closed. Breath enfolded her face, it was hot, smelled like rotting meat. "Open your eyes little bride, mine mine mine." "Bride? I'm not a bride, I'm not anybody's, what are you? What do you want?" Michelle responded. "My Bride, mine mine mine. OPEN YOUR EYES!" Michelle forcefully opened her eyes, scared out of her mind. She saw a man, no, something of a deformed man, he had a hunch, and was literally skin and bones, his face was that of a skeleton and what topped it all off was his smile, he had a sinister smile from ear to ear carved into his face. "Mine." the man said, then plunged into Michelle.
