Voodoo Dues
CHAPTER 3 Rene’s SUV was still sitting across the street from the bar when I arrived. I pushed the door buzzer chanting a mantra in my head, ‘Don’t look, don’t look!’ Lian answered the door looking more than rumpled. People paid their respects, told her they were sorry, and left. Someone had suggested that, given the circumstances, a wake would be inappropriate.

Why Your Halloween Costume is Like Your Dating Profile
Halloween: The one day of the year we can dress as crazy, funny, or as slutty as we want and it’s actually acceptable (for the most part).
