The Night Owl
I stared down at the clipboard in my arms, taking notes on a recent experiment as I wander the empty halls of the research building. The loud sound of my shoes echoed off the mellowed grey walls. Soft blue lighting over my head illuminated the pages as my pen dragged in various curves, writing up another successful animal experimentation we had been planning for a while. It was the only light that I had, the day had fallen to night and all you could see to my right, outside the large windows, was a few closely planted trees that occasionally tapped it's overgrown branches against the glass.

A Series of Eerie Continued
I couldn’t bring myself to look in the freezer. I grabbed the dress and locked the room, I left it the way I found it and ran into the house. I hung the dress up on the hanger and sketched some changes I wanted to make to it. After my nerves calmed down I decided I would go to the police station and tell Officier Wynn everything.

Life and Death
Frost clung to the air, it’s icy bite mixing with the scent of freshly lit gunpowder and a hint of iron creating a pungent aroma. Tops of trees were decorated with white crystals sparkling in the sun’s light, undisturbed by the chaos that had erupted just before the sun had begun to rise.

That Old Barn
There was always that old barn by the farm near my house, it always had a presence that was so unsettling. I never knew what actually went on at that farm, I always assumed it was just normal farm things, like chickens and goats lived there. But I always had a hunch that something was going on there; I never saw a farmer or anyone there which was obviously odd.

Winchester: Tommy
These small disturbances did not yield. Every time one of them occurred, I was never able to explain them. I was more and more a believer that there was someone there in the house with us. I officially knew that there was something or someone there. A ghost, and what seemed to be a ghost child. There was evidence with little footprints and giggling and the almost weightless sound of the footsteps while running. The small childish actions of making things tumble over and even making toys go off. I still didn’t understand the reasoning of the pencil but it had its importance. Perhaps it was all that was left and all the ghost could move so it held a symbolic meaning or comfort.

A Witch's Fate
I quickly packed the trunk as quickly as I could. Time was short, and he would be here soon. Just as I thought that, there was a firm and loud pair of knocks at the door. I raised the broom in my hand in defense before I heard a loud, male voice call from behind the cabin door. “Mrs. Tully? It’s Mr. Sampson. I’m here to pick up your delivery.”

Winchester: Footprints
Weird things began all throughout Lilly’s bedroom with her dark, eerie closet and her little cozy friend Lulu. We were starting to get a break from it though. It did not happen EVERY single night anymore, but occasionally. When I say we got a break, I only meant from the closet and dolly fiasco. Other strange things happened. The cold spots remained freezing. Every now and then, cold spots would travel around the house. Ever so often, I got the sensation of someone running past me, so close, but invisible; cool air brushing across my face or arm, wisping my hair off of my shoulder. I felt it, it would break my concentration from the task I was engaged in, but left me unsatisfied to find nothing responsible for it.

The Owl With One Claw
DAY 2 So far, this is my second day in this enormous cabin in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. I am fortunate that the owner, Mr. Owens who is a retired detective, is letting me rent out a room here even though my credit is horrible. My bedroom is very spacious. The environment is great. The serenity is what I need when I write my stories. Hopefully, people will know the name David Mills. I am 24. Maybe I will be a best-selling author before I turn 30.

Night
The first few times the woman came, Nightwing had flown. The noises startled him more than the intrusion into his home. After all, humans were ground-bound. His perch high in the rafters was safe from the interloper. It was an excuse to get out and hunt anyway. He'd long ago picked over all the mice and other tidbits that had inhabited the barn before he claimed it as his.
